It's ridiculously warm. 71 at 2am, Oak Ridge is 77 with a heat index of 79, talk about summer hitting immediately.

I wish it was a little more SEC dominant but Houston is darn good. Yes, half the region is going to flood and the other half will possibly be dodging fires. I worry more about fires than anything else, my house is 30 feet from the edge of over 100k acres of unbroken forest. I've had two fires get close in the last 20 years. One had fire fighters in my backyard raking leaves in the woods and cutting stumps off on the ridge side to shovel dirt into them.

Huge dislike for this stalled front. I've no interest in seeing highs in the mid to upper 80s in early April. The fires have already been ridiculous in the area and they will be primed again with 3 or 4 days of strong winds and hot weather.

32 this morning and the dense air has pushed the smoke from a controlled burn near my house down to the ground. It's like I'm in a thick thick fog.

Surprised to see a tornado watch for a large portion of Kentucky, I didn't even know thunderstorms were coming.

Confirmed tornado per NWS between Sweetwater and Oak Ridge.

Tornado Warning just west of me in Scott County. Radar indicated so far but on a similar path to one that passed near me a couple years ago. It may be very close or was to @Holston_River_Rambler

I was on the edge of the 30 percent but it's rained way more than predicted this morning. Supposed to be a quarter to half inch and I've gotten 2 inches with probably another hour or hour and a half to go. Not sure how well our area clears out and destabilizes unless the clear and warming is quick behind the warm front.

Got an alert that snow was going to start here at 4am. Future radar shows it on twc. Currently 32 degrees.

Thank you, it could've been worse. There were a few gusts that literally vibrated my floor/walls.

My back porch roof lifted off enough to need replacing and there's half a dozen trees down. I usually don't get winds as bad as other areas but when they are from the due south there's a gap in the mountain that it really roars through. Last night they were in the perfect direction for that.
-
I'm honestly not sure if my roof is going to make it. My back porch roof is probably going to be needing replaced for sure. It calmed down some between 8 and 10 but it's ramped back up to full blast now. An 80 foot pine is down in my lower yard already. I'm most stunned my power is on. I guess the last big wind event may have cleaned out all the loose trees.

I'm up to house shaking status on the wind front now. My peak gust has been 61mph.
-
I'm sustained S at 25 with a 50mph gust in the 5 o'clock hour.

The wind is intense here. It's been raining down tree limbs all day.
