  1. The 3km actually closes the trough off over the lakes. Impressive.
  2. A little OT but they closed it to sledding because of some stuff that happened last year. People (read: idiots) parking in the road and what not. We did OK in that event but definitely less than expected.
  3. Euro and GFS both still like that vort swinging around the backside hitting the border counties. 12km NAM does as well. Further east track seems to make that vort more likely than the earlier further west runs.
  4. NAM has come back west a bit at 12z. I don't think the shifts are anywhere near done.
  5. I'm curious to see what this ULL/noreaster does to the pattern as a whole. Seen some wacky stuff out of the gfs in the long range. It could really shake things up.
  6. Made it to 17 with a very heavy frost. More accumulated frozen stuff than we had the other day lol
  7. Down to 23 already. High was 34 for about 45 minutes this afternoon.
  8. Not a thing stuck here in Foscoe. A mile up the hill is absolutely gorgeous, though. Ole "no snow" Foscoe living up to it's name.
  9. Steadiest snow of the event rigjt now but stuck at 33
  10. Paltry rates since it switched over. Gonna have to see either bigger or more flakes to start sticking.
  11. Finally over to snow at 36.0. Let's see what we can do.
  12. Down to 37.9 and still falling quick. Should change soon.
  13. Temp has stalled at 45 at the house and 43 here at the store in Blowing Rock. Hoping for a change around 7-8pm. Still plenty of moisture to swing through and should see some backfill with that weak low getting going over the coastal plain.
  14. Anybody heard from the cold front? Still 51 here in Blowing Rock LOL
  15. Yeah 1-3" above 3kft seems more likely. I'm here for anything tbh.
  16. HRRR agrees on the burst of snow at the back. Actually changes 5kft and up over to snow by mid afternoon tomorrow
  17. Brad Panovich posted this from I assume their in house model. Good look.
  18. Yeah there has been a trend on the GFS/euro towards the cold outrunning the moisture a bit and a switchover to snow before precip ends. Interesting look I'm curious to see where it goes.
  19. Yep. Got a solid dusting here which is more than I expected. We get skunked in the hole here in Foscoe on a lot of these NW flow events so anything more than a flurry is a win.
  20. Dumping snow up here on Beech. Quickly picked up a dusting.
  21. I wondered about this little clipper today. Probably gonna have to head up to Roan on Wednesday morning with thunder a possibility....
  22. 13 here in Foscoe. I'm cautiously optimistic about that clipper/NWFS potential next week. Some moderate agreement between the Euro/gfs, although I'm rooting for the Euros timing personally. Would love to hit Roan in the snow next Tuesday.
