  1. 3km NAM with flurries into Monday morning. Looks like more possible Wednesday as well. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  2. Coldest temp of the snap this this morning at 29.8 Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks! I'm still in disbelief I saw them twice in a month. Looks like I should have stayed out longer because the storm really picked up after midnight. The tiny fireball in the third one gets me. It's just adorable. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  4. Only hit 36 at the house. Guess my location is keeping us a little warmer this time around. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  5. Yeah. I will say these cold snaps have moderated significantly once they get inside 3-4 days it seems. Just Wednesday it looked like a good chance for high elevation snow and 20s, and now my official forecast is only 31 tomorrow night. I would say one of them will eventually stick but the last 4 months have been nothing but cold in the extended that never works out. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  6. Had some ground shaking thunder this morning with 0.96". Not particularly looking forward to this next stretch of cool, wet weather. At least we aren't seeing any freezes bad enough to hurt the trees and flowers yet. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  7. I'm off on Sunday. If the GFS/euro verify I'll have to head up to Roan. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  8. Found a Wooly Worm yesterday. I suppose that means snow in July? Can't say I've ever seen one in April. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  9. Low of 30.0 this morning with some frost. Happy Easter folks! Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  10. Back down to 33.1 now. Spotty glaze of ice around Blowing Rock on the way home.. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  11. Low of 33.3 back up to 35.8 now. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  12. 24 hour drop from 67 to 43. Not bad for an April wedge. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  13. New 3km coming in colder than the 6z. Had sub zero 850s already getting into the state by 8z Saturday. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  14. 3km just getting into range but looks like it is gonna show similar. Definitely an interesting setup. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  15. Um the 12k NAM is drunk or something. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  16. Naturally of course NASCAR is in Bristol this weekend. Always rains when they come to town. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  17. Just started the spring summer thread. Ive been done with this winter since mid February lol. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  18. I'm ready to get the flowers going and get busy with the camera and fishing pole. Here's to a summer that is far more satisfying than the winter we just didn't have. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  19. 0Z Euro is... interesting. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  20. Euro and GFS have both actually been on this one for the past few days. GFS more than the Euro but they both have had some "good" runs (good if you want more cold and snow, which I do not). We made 33.1 this morning. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  21. What happened to spring? I have a day off and suddenly it's 43 and raining. Still went fishing but it wasn't as fun. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  22. You can sign up for free notifications from spaceweatherlive.com and it'll send push notifications for flares and geomagnetic activity. I just changed phones and didn't have them enabled yet or I'd have been out earlier yesterday. I really caught the tail of the best conditions. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  23. It was a weird storm. No flares that we know of, just a perfect set of circumstances that got the Bz to tip south. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  24. Not ground weather related but space weather news. Caught the auroras last night up north of Boone. 3rd time seeing them from down here which is awesome. Eventually I'll get a chance to go north and see the big ones. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  25. EPS isn't setting the world on fire either. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
