I don’t belive there is any reasoning behind it. It is most likely who is on the shift at the time and coordination with the other offices.

I am trying to see this northern trend but the models seem rather steady just a small jog north and west. What am I missing? They have seemed fairly steady with their depection of the snow rain line as far as I can see help me understand what you are seeing.

I did a lot better when I was a kid and just woke up in the morning to a surprise. I was a kid in the late 60’s through the mid 70’s and we had a lot of surprises then.

North trends always make me nervous. Living in West Knox this often puts us out of the game. There is still a long way to go.

We went from straight rain to big fat flakes as I was watching it just turned on. -

It just keeps doing the head fake here in Knoxville. One minute I think the snow line is moving off the plateau then it seems to kick back. It has creeped closer again but…..

I n I noticed some snow pings in the moutains east of knox so it is definitely cooling down upstairs.

It seems like the whole system has slowed down. In knoxville the temp has fallen from 47 to 41 at my house the last 40 min so some progress is taking place here.

That low seems to really be tightening up and temps are starting to fall in the valley.

Good to hear the Crossville changover. Knox is often close behind. Sometimes.

Hard to watch the slow progess of the changeover but It does seem to be speeding up the last 30 min or so.

This has been a Middle and West TN year. They sure were in line for it because of all the bad winters of late. The Eastern Valley has had a lot of close calls and a very fun White Christmas so I count this year as a win. I am ready for spring and warm weather. Just bought a new bass boat and ready to get out on the water.

Got a quick burst of snow that covered the grass and roads and just as quickly it turned to rain. Good night all and bring on Spring.

Still nothing falling in the Cedar Bluff area of Knox. We have a steady north east wind coming down the valley. This is usually a good thing.

Looks like that area of heavy sleet is about at Sweetwater making its way slowly up the valley. Dry air fighting it all the way.

60 is going to be great. I have not been able to get my boat out on the water since I bought it... Time to get out and rip some lips. I am however, going to enjoy whatever we get tonight for some reason I am feeling good about tonight. Maybe it's the Scotch in my hand.

For folks in the valley cloud cover proceeding events like this can very good. Trapping cold air in the valley at the surface. It does not always matter but in marginal situations every piece of the puzzle counts. Right now it is not looking very good.
