  1. Appears that colder air comes back south after that storm setting up a potentially interesting storm for New Years eve/day. 2 weeks out and hard to get excited about it yet but it has consistently shown up on the GFS/FV3.
  2. FWIW the end of the 18z NAM. It does appear a little colder with 850's and 2m temps. Maybe a bit colder at 500mb too.
  3. Yeah pretty disgusting especially when you consider there's already been a blizzard to our west and a major snowstorm to our south. Get a storm with the perfect track and now there's no cold around? Just seems so wrong on so many levels.
  4. 0z GFS trended better especially for E IN into W and SW OH.
  5. HighTechEE's image is a week after the one you posted. His is actually mostly snow for IN/OH.
  6. The December 6-8 storm looks interesting especially on the 12z Euro. Widespread 4-8" for most of IL/IN and just getting into Ohio by runs end.
  7. First month of met winter is almost upon us and it looks like an active pattern will continue.
  8. It did load but it has no storm for the 4th or 5th.
  9. Looks a touch south. Either that or a touch slower.
  10. That band near and north of Cincy really growing and intensifying. HRRR seems to have nailed it but we'll see how much snow falls. Should get to me soon.
  11. 18z GFS appears colder farther east. Shows 2-3" my way.
  12. Guess you didn't notice the November 12-13 snow potential thread?
  13. 18z GFS brings the snow area NW more in line with GGEM/Euro.
  14. It appears likely that the E/SE parts of the sub will see their first accumulating snow of the season on Monday/Tuesday. Don't have a 12z Euro snow map but it looks more like the 12z GGEM than the 12z GFS. GFS has been slowly shifting west some with the last couple runs. Don't remember the last time we had this early a snow event at least this far south.
  15. This is our usual thread for storm threats in the longer range that are not ready for its own thread. There appears to be a system for next Monday/Tuesday that will move along the south and then up the apps/east coast. 12z Euro has precip the farthest north/west to bring some snow to IN/OH.
  16. Could only think of 4 off the top of my head. No particular order. Blizzard of 78. I was only 2 and don't really remember it but the pictures my parents took were incredible. January 2+3 1996. Started as rain and by noon on the 3rd was a full out blizzard. Ended up with 10"+. December 22+23 2004. Biggest snowfall I've witnessed at 18". March 7+8 2008 Blizzard. Not sure if it actually met criteria but blizzard warnings were issued and got 10"+.
