    SPC has had a rough year especially with the convective outlooks. I think there's been around 5 moderate areas issued and maybe 1 somewhat verified. Then there was the unexpected MCS/Derecho that hit IA and dropped south through W IL with initially only a marginal which they eventually upped to slight. That needed an enhanced area at the very least.

    T-storm watch just issued for SE WI/NE IL for that MCS.

    Tornado on ground NE of Dayton near Urbana.

    Cheyenne taking it on the chin this evening. Another tornado warned storm to the NW headed their way.

    SPC trying their luck again. Just introduced an enhanced area basically in the same area as yesterday's enhanced/moderate.

    SPC added a moderate risk area for parts of CO/KS/NE for today.

    Slight risk added to N. OH for today and an MD out for possible watch for same area.

    Last month of met summer is nearly upon us. Appears any heat/extreme heat will remain west of the sub through the early part of the month. If one believes the long range GFS it might start heating up again closer to the middle of the month.

    Pretty amazing to get tornado warnings on cells that don't look like much with the one obvious exception.
