  1. For E IN/W OH we need a track up the west side of the apps for a big snowstorm. The cold air has been the problem lately. There's either been to much of a push which keeps the storm too far south or not enough and we get rain/mix. 2 years ago there was a storm that took basically an ideal track but enough cold air was barely lacking. Started as rain here but switched to snow as the cold rushed in and still got 4-5" of snow here. If cold would have been in place sooner, it might have been closer to 8-10".
  2. Haven't had a double digit snowfall here in Dayton since the March 7+8 2008 blizzard and no winter storm warning since February 2015. To say we are overdue for a big one this side of the sub is a gross understatement.
  3. Cool weather appears to continue into November as well as rainy especially the eastern sub. Both 12z GFS and GGEM show a storm tracking through the OV possibly bringing 1-3" of rain the first day or two of the month.
  4. The slight risk area was expanded SW back to St. Louis.
  5. 12z GGEM shifted east some tracking the center through W OH bringing the heaviest rain to much of IN into SEMI. 12z GFS shifted west some basically tracking the center over the Apps giving the heaviest rain to OH. 0z Euro appears to keep it in the SE.
  6. Slight risk area added today for East Central IL/Northern half of IN/NW OH.
  7. Officially an EF1 that happened just before 6am this morning with no tornado warning. Still can't figure out why it pastes like this for me.
  8. Looks like possible severe weather across the sub Thursday and Friday. Day 3 slight for IA/WI/extreme NW IL and parts of NW MI and day 4 15% outlined for IN/OH.
  9. New tornado warning for same cell. Damage reported on north side of Tell City when it moved through.
  10. Just looking at radar, the heaviest rains appear to be headed along/south of I-70. Already 2" at least here and thinking 5-6" is easily doable.
  11. Just had the first of what will be many tropical downpours. Very torrential rain for about 20 minutes straight which likely dropped over an inch if not closer to 2. Some of the heaviest rain I've seen this year.
  12. Had a shelf cloud follow me home from work about an hour ago. It was starting to move overhead by the time I could get a pic so that's why it might not look as impressive but it was a nice one.
  13. First month of met fall is almost here but above average temps look to hang around for at least the first part of the month.
  14. Tornado warning in NW IL south of Freeport.
  15. MD out for a likely watch for the rest of northern IL.
  16. Tornado warning for Urbana OH which is northeast of Dayton. Funnel cloud was spotted.
  17. Looks like a couple tornado warnings in southern IN south of Indy.
  18. You would think being on the ground for 7 minutes and 4 miles that radar would have picked up on it at some point. That's just odd.
