  1. May see scattered power outages tomorrow...pretty long duration period of high winds too.
  2. Exactly...this is why structure and placement of the anomalies are way more important than an index itself. That's why you can't just make a (medium-long range) forecast just based on the state of an index or ENSO alone. For example, here is a composite of DJF temperature anomalies for La Nina's. The last image below gives you an "average" of them all...but sometimes going just based on average can be extremely misleading.
  3. Well pretty much all better today. Actually felt nearly 100% by yesterday evening outside of just being tired but I did sleep pretty well. In terms of the side effects it was pretty much everything I expected based on the information I gathered from folks. Side effects kicking in about 12-hours later with side effects lasting around 12-hours and a full-day of fatigue. I am very glad I asked as many people as possible what they experienced after getting their second shot because I think preparing myself made going through it that much easier.
  4. nice! I'm much better now than I was this morning...just pretty exhausted. Took a 30-minute nap during lunch and that helped quite a bit. Chills and fever are gone though (outside of random bursts of chills) as is the slight headache. Arm is a bit sore but nothing compared to the first shot.
  5. I was never totally enthused with today. If something were to happen...as much as I would love to go chase this evening the 2nd shot has knocked me out. Probably going to sleep after work
  6. Second shot definitely has kicked my ass (not complaining though...feels kinda cool in a way). Just light chills now but definitely a fever with a slight headache and sore arm. I think biggest is how tired I feel...holy crap. Like a complete body tired.
  7. Side effects kicking in…pretty intense chills currently.
  8. can we buy stock in Taylor Hall?
  9. There should be some periods of widespread heavy rain between Thursday and Friday. Some spots maybe 2-3''
  10. I went to game 1 against Montreal with Ray. Met Ray at a bar at like 6:15...pounded down 7 or 8 beers in 45-minutes, stumbled to the game, used the women's bathroom by mistake, then I got onto the wrong T-line trying to get back home...and Bruins lost 2-0
  11. 10-years ago today, Nathan Horton!!!!
  12. same thing happened with car emissions
  13. well that's not a bad thing. Just means the body is generating an immune response. Side effects usually last 8-12 hours (more for some).
  14. holy crap...I'm supposed to do brunch this weekend. I hope that doesn't happen to me
  15. It's interesting how it affects each person differently. My hope was getting it so early was the side effects could start kicking in during the evening and I would feel like crap through the night and then slowly improve through the day tomorrow. I wonder why they said avoid caffeinated beverages...maybe the sugar just worsens any headache?
  16. Had my shot at 10:53 AM...last time my shot was like 11:54 or something...anyways my arm definitely hurt more by now last time than this time. I definitely do feel some soreness when I lift it up but we'll see what happens going through the next few hours.
  17. That sounds awful. I'll stick to water.
  18. Will I die if I drink a beer during the Bruins game tonight?
  19. sports venues to operate 100% in Mass beginning Aug 1
  20. not really but will drink plenty of water through the day...hopefully I stick to that
  21. They said to avoid caffeine and alcohol. I never finished my coffee this morning and the Bruins play tonight...I usually enjoy an IPA
  22. It’s never too early for the hard stuff
