  1. I think I am going to start a new game for this summer...or it's more of an Alert. The alert is called a CAPE alert and there will be different levels. This will look at 7-days out. Depending on the CAPE levels being modeled, an appropriate index level will be assigned. Here is an example. CAPE ALERT!!!!!!!! CAPE level: (need to make this) CAPE Values: > 3,000
  2. Can I share this photo? I want to go on a rant to the point mentioned above. This is a perfect example.
  3. Two of the most ridiculous arguments in meteorology: 1) Ground is too warm 2) sun angle is too high While of course there is truth to that...you also have to understand what's an play. I can't stand when people dismiss accumulating snow right off the bat b/c of those two factors.
  4. I am shocked...but not shocked (I guess I feel indifferent) about how much sun there is in Branford right now. I am not shocked b/c the dry slot was well modeled but I am shocked at the degree of sun.
  5. what would the clown map version be for severe wx?
  6. Here we go with 925!!! dynamic cooling right on track
  7. Looks like 850 getting ready to close off probably not long after 925 does
  8. I can taste my beer so nope!
  9. looks like the RAP (just looking at the forward time intervals on mesoanalysis) wants to really close off H7 pretty far west and...well kinda a nasty dry slot that intrudes.
  10. I could be the face of the 2021-2022 season tix
  11. I'm getting legit tingles right now. Tracking a winter storm right now and also thinking that in one month...one month we could be tracking a severe threat. Kinda hard to breathe.
  12. the only apparel I have one is my Bruins jersey
  13. 0z HRRR looking pretty good...gets NE CT to snow by midnight
  14. I was thinking like 2-3 AM for you but these next 2-3 hours should really tell us
  15. I wonder if Kevin can start to see a changeover around midnight...the 22z HRRR sort of argues for that.
  16. Despite being somewhat out of range the great consistency the HRRR has showed speaks alot of volumes. When the HRRR is that consistent for that long of a period it can be very difficult to beat
  17. Been pouring rain all day. Thank God for Uber eats...didn't feel like going outside during lunch and get my hair wet. I had to run to my car after work then run inside my house but I'm good
  18. Watching the CC ring collapse tonight will be fun.
  19. GFS bufkit at BDL...wow. It's quite dry above the DGZ but looks pretty saturated in there with RH overlaid
  20. some parts of the hills could get 3-6'' if this is correct...which I mean seems to becoming more plausible.
  21. wow GFS even a bit interesting in northern CT for a few inches. CCB gets pretty close to grazing into BDL
