  1. Euro still says one last hurrah for the mountains
  2. And yet many still think this is a "good idea" and they "should have replied to the email". This is public safety at stake.
  3. I don't think the current regime cares about protest. The big cuts to the Forest Service, Park Service, etc. and all the pushback on that didn't stop them.
  4. I warned of this a while back on here and many said it would never happen. Well here we are....
  5. NOAA with salt in the wound with this post
  6. Looks like another long stretch of little rain.
  7. flurries and a very light dusting in west AVL.
  8. Wakefield is a good office. They were usually spot on when I lived up there.
  9. What exactly did we do to burn it down? Post model runs? I didn't see any western posters post about hoping you all got nothing. The dry air was real. Places like where @BornAgain13 lives were under a WSW and got very little.
  10. The map was put together by the NC climate office
  11. Most definitely but it's hard to capture all the microclimates on a map like this.
  12. Also this- obviously we don't get that many events most years now but historically... yes.
  13. Same here. Basically snizzle because it's still 35.
  14. Why not? We already have a foothills and mountains thread and there's only 8 of us combined according to Triangle math.
  15. How much you got? And tell Roy to stop giving public endorsements of HD.
  16. Some places in WNC average close to 70".
  17. Amen. This winter alone these fantastic winter locals have more snow than the hills of NC- New Orleans Baton Rouge Galveston Mobile Pensacola Atlanta Charleston Myrtle Beach Raleigh Virginia Beach In fact the only major areas with less snow in our region are probably Charlotte and Greenville SC. Maybe Columbia too.
