  1. Only 25 last night with some clouds keeping it from dropping to 20.
  2. It was 24 this morning and 29 currently
  3. Getting some heavier bursts of flurries here tonight. Blue Ridge is getting hit harder than usual
  4. Nice to watch it fall but its not sticking and already starting to stop here.
  5. There's sleet mixed with the rain now in west asheville
  6. This band of moisture is not as heavy as what the Hi Res models were showing earlier today. I think that's the main culprit along with the temperatures of course.
  7. Hi Res NAM says a dusting at best now for Asheville. Compare that to 3 inches the last run
  8. Its dropping but we need heavier precip to crash the column in the FBRV.
  9. Rain has picked up again and the temp is slowly dropping
  10. Going to be interesting to see how it transpires.
  11. This is going to be one heck of a temp drop if we want snow in Asheville. Its still in the mid 50s. We need a 20 degree drop in 2 or 3 hours.
  12. Models look solid for Buncombe. If it snows heavy enough we could get an inch or 2 in the city I think.
  13. It thundered quite a bit here and the rain was the best part of the system.
  14. Yeah nothing burger here but down east is the real threat.
  15. Squall line moving through here now. Nothing too crazy so far.
  16. For me its- 1/17- .25" surprise dusting 1/25- 2" of mostly sleet .25 ZR 1/31- 5" of wind blown powder 2/5- .5" Season total- 7.25" and .25 ZR Final Grade- B+ I can't give it an A here and quite frankly its more of a B or B- when comparing to the 30 year average but when comparing to the last 10 years it was a solid winter. We broke our non WSW criteria drought, had multiple events for the first time in years and quite a bit to track during that 4 week period. I can't give it an A because we still didn't get a true southern Miller A paste bomb and it was generally dry.
  17. Some areas have fared better than others. The escarpment area and western piedmont is still struggling to get caught up while the SW mountains are doing better.
  18. This drought is showing some serious staying power. I have a bad feeling about this summer. The next couple of weeks look dry as well
  19. 27 this morning. Jack frost is back
  20. A little sleet and wet snow mixed in with the rain in West Asheville.
  21. Nice! We need a forum fishing trip for sure. Cane River used to have amazing smallie fishing. Havent been since Helene.
