  1. I haven't seen a true CAD wedge snow to ice storm in years like modeled on the day 9/10 Euro. Would be nice.
  2. The Euro looks like a disaster the next 10 days
  3. Flurries most of the day here, nice winter day
  4. Stay down in Morganton or Marion, it will be less booked and cheaper. Its an easy drive from there to spend a nice day in the mountains.
  5. Interesting drive to Asheville today. Was 37 with a low cloud deck in Marion, up to 41 halfway up Old Fort mountain then down to 38 on top of the mountain. A few sprinkles on the back edge of the cloud deck before punching out. It was 46 in Asheville.
  6. We have had some of the biggest frosts I can remember this winter. Shoot if we add them all up it would probably be more snow than I got from the ULL last week
  7. BullCityWx has been around this board for a while and isn't a weenie.
  8. Tell me then why I should be enthused by the upcoming pattern? A lot of Mets have been saying this is the time period for east coast cold and storms and its not matriculating for now. I'm still learning about pattern recognition and want to sincerely ask what's exciting about the next 2 weeks
  9. It is bad if you are expecting a cold snowy pattern like many were harping for this time period. There are days in the 50s and little moisture
  10. Long range Euro is a disaster but at least we get some dry warm days
  11. Microclimates... anyone looking at the Euro next week? Pretty cold air diving down and something brewing in Texas. Will probably get squashed
  12. We have been mostly rain here since the initial batch. Very close to being a decent surprise though, if it had come in 5 or 6 hours earlier
  13. Just made the drive to the welcome center it's snowing good here
  14. If some of those heavy bands in SC make it up here it will be interesting
  15. Unfortunately it's mostly rain here now with the lighter rates
  16. I'm up to 36 with the lull but flurries are flying again Edit- Rain/snow mix now
  17. Tapered back to flurries, waiting on the next batch. 34.5.
  18. Dirt and mulch is turning gray, moderate snow
  19. Legit light snow shower. Nice surprise. 33
  20. It has all of McDowell under 4 inches and I don't think anyone in the county had that unless you were right along the Blue Ridge. Most of the county had under 2 inches and some under 1. The NWS snowfall map was more detailed.
