  1. The difference between the GFS and Euro is laughable
  2. The long range GFS is Lots of rain though..
  3. Euro shows a possible CAD setup day 11 but probably cold rain or ice.
  4. it doesn't even drop in the teens in Asheville on the Euro compared to single digits on GFS.
  5. Yea the Euro is not even close. The cold front isn't near as strong
  6. The Euro looks much different I'm afraid. Not nearly as sharp with the front and not as much moisture behind it
  7. I have never seen Anafrontal snow here like that. The mountains are in a good spot though and will cash in on Nwfs
  8. I can't remember any lows below 10 here. Need to check though to make sure
  9. That's a cold Christmas night.. May be the coldest in my lifetime
  10. It's God awful. No matter which side of the fence you are on, it's obvious that the federal government has destroyed the national weather service...their funding is pitiful.
  11. It's amazing how the mountains can squeeze out snow out of nothing
  12. GFS agrees that a nice NWFS is coming for Christmas
  13. Surprised that none of you northwest flow peeps didn't mention the Euro. Shows a healthy looking event after the frontal passage near Christmas eve.
  14. Looking at a blend of the models, it looks like a quick shot of cold air then warming back up..
  15. Pretty decent accrual here on ridge tops above 1800. Will try and upload pics later.
  16. One thing I know for sure, the ground is incredibly saturated. We may get close to another inch of rain at this rate and are heading for our 6th month in a row of above average rainfall
  17. Minimal icing here too and 31.8. It just dropped below freezing recently and the rain looks to be about over for a few hours at least
  18. Shows a big time cold shot at least. That's step 1
  19. We went from 29.5 to 36.1 but the breeze has kicked in from the NE
  20. We have already reached our forecasted low of 29. Clouds are coming but I think we can get down to 27 before they get thick
  21. Yep, I have family in Java and Chatham and it's higher than Danville too.
