  1. The super clipper of 2003 was a gem here. Expecting an inch or less and woke up to 8 to 9 from a surprise lee trough.
  2. March 93 was the most impactful in McDowell in my lifetime, Jan 96 was a good storm too. December 09 and 2018 were also up there with high totals.
  3. I missed that one, was up in Va Beach. Luckily Christmas storm of 2010 made up for it.
  4. Canadian is coming in further south too
  5. Need to get some propane for the propane heater.. This will be the first true snow for my 18 month old son, I can't wait to see his reaction
  6. Making it home may be tricky even then . Black mountain can get in on some NWFS too (usually in squalls) and there will be a good bit of it behind the storm.
  7. The Canadian is broken again and the GFS stopped on Pivotal Wx.
  8. Black Mountain will get crushed, the lower totals usually aren't until you get closer to the French Broad valley and Asheville. Obviously Hickory should do pretty well but a much higher chance of mixing with sleet
  9. This storm is a Blue Ridge special. The orientation of the precip will dump on Mount Mitchell. I can see them getting 30 inches
  10. Soo my question to mets and all... when are we going to start making some snow maps?
  11. Thanks bud, I'm still learning as I go but have learned a lot from y'all. I do like the trends of the LP being more south, just been burned so many times here I worry about mixing.
  12. @57 the low is a little south of the 06Z run
  13. At 51 our low pressure is in southern Arkansas, about the same spot as 6Z
  14. I'm beginning to think this will be a mess and not much snow even for the foothills
  15. It's thermals are crap too though, I really hope this isn't a trend with the Hi res models..
