How much do you have now?
-
Yea I wouldn't hold my breath, here near Marion just off the mountain we had 30 minutes of sleet and a little snow but no accumulation
-
Oh they got whacked for sure but not 5 to 7 inches like the HRRR and NAM were suggesting. 2 to 3 invhes max most places I have seen
-
We didn't get any accumulation here and the temp is actually stuck at 34.8 for the past 30 minutes or so. Seems like the short range models were too bullish for most areas especially Buncombe County
-
Finally got some flakes, and still some IP. It's very light though, downsloping always causes issues here. Still a nice treat!
-
I'm still mostly sleet but happy you got some
-
Afraid it's too little too late here. Still mostly rain and 37. Low elevations..
-
37.5 and sleet mixed in with the rain
-
38 here near Marion but still all rain
-
Yep we dropped from 50 to 44 last few minutes
-
It is pouring rain here I'm guessing we will drop soon
-
Lovely area. My dad's side is from seven mile ridge
-
Where are you located now
-
The temp has gone up here lol
-
I feel you, we live in some of the worst places for snow in this part of the state
-
The cold is coming from the west south west, very odd
-
Fog is settling in here near the Catawba. No wind and 48.
-
New 3K NAM backed off some for AVL area. Think 2 to maybe 3 inches for most of Buncombe. I think the smokies will be the big winners in this setup. Leconte should go over a foot
-
This is 6 hours worth of snow
-
Best fantasy storm of the winter IMBY. If the block holds and the storm doesn't gain too much latitude in the plains we could be in business.
-
I have 47 and .85
-
That wave of low pressure developing on the front is interesting. I would still be surprised if Asheville for more than 2 inches but short range models are putting out 4-6 even for the city.
-
Yea its interesting to see all the short range models increase totals..
-
Afraid escarpment areas have flooding issues on the horizon
-
All of this moisture and 99% of it is rain east of the mountains...
