  1. Yea that Kuchera ratio burned in earlier this month constantly showing 3 to 6 inches plus when we both got less than an inch. I do hope the central NC and eastern NC folks get a surprise though
  2. That's one of the craziest Euro runs I have seen in many years
  3. And its only 5 days out so should be right in the Euro wheelhouse. Will be some interesting model watching the rest of the week.
  4. Central VA get over 2 feet and it just sits on Hampton Roads lol
  5. And it buries DC eventually so most of the east coast would be happy
  6. I know I am not often the optimistic one but I have a really good feeling about this weekend
  7. Best run of the winter for MBY and puts a lot of NC in the game
  8. Plenty cold enough on Euro to start, look at those sub zero readings in NY
  9. Lets see what the Euro has to offer for this weekend. It has shown wintry precip for the past 4 or 5 runs in a row for the 40 corridor to the northern mountains.
  10. One of the biggest inversions I have seen today. 46 in Marion and 68 in Asheville
  11. The wedge won't break here. It's 46 still and we won't get close to 60
  12. Ukie still looks promising for the weekend
  13. Canadian has our mixed bag weekend storm. Would be lights out for some
  14. I'm not sold on it yet but I do think this is the best chance for CAD areas north of 40. The source cold is the coldest of the season by far even though the storm track is far from optimal
  15. The UK agrees with Euro so not on an island
  16. Back to the weather- The UK shows a nice storm Sunday as well. I think it may be our best threat of the year for the I 40 corridor, northern foothills and mountains
  17. Objectively, someone who knows Jack about NC weather would think the OBX have higher snow potential than 6,000 ft mountains that have storms of 2 to 3 feet every decade or so. Record books teach us this.
  18. Yep, newfound gap had 60 inches in April of all times. And there have been many other snow events of over 2 feet in the mountains. 93 was the greatest 24 hour storm but not the biggest totals in history
  19. The mountains have had bigger storms than 93.
  20. BTW, the Canadian shows a nice CAD event Sunday
