  1. With a decent winter pack, maybe we could hold off the Stein talk until at least early April!
  2. Not specifically. I think the mood is too dark. There hasn't been a lot of posting. I did tell the Woodford, Vermont group to keep an eye on this weekend.
  3. I guess standing on my lawn and only getting 2 minutes of totality it is then.
  4. I’ve seen that before. The stranger part, to me, was the standing wave over Stowe that dumped on 108 but didn’t get up to the resort.
  5. Stop talking dirty. I'll pass out.
  6. The cutoff after the Waterbury exit heading north was amazing. Not gradual at all.
  7. I drove up to Williston today and while there wasn’t as much around 89 as the was up by you, it seemed like there was a few inches. The solid covering started just past exit 9 and increased as I got closer to exit 10. And then it was like someone had put up some sort of shield because it was bare almost immediately. Neat micro event.
  8. So what do people do during an eclipse? I get driving to the area that gets longer totality but to experience that you don’t need to be anywhere specific, right? You could just be on some back dirt road or out standing in your yard. It just sounds like there shouldn’t be an issue finding someplace to pull off to the side of the road. I don’t know, maybe I’m underestimating the crowds that will be around?
  9. We had an event like that in 2007, I think. Winter started out crappy but we got the MLK storm that laid down some decent snow/sleet. Then between MLK and V-Day we got some freak lake effect streamer that dumped like 10” in a narrow area that was right over my area. If you went north or south totals started dropping off quickly. A week or two later we got the big one and the rest of that winter and 2008 rocked.
