It’s been long enough that normal feels cold. We are sitting at -1.5° for the month. We really haven’t had brutal cold, our lowest temp so far this month is -1°.

Whitfield isn’t great for snow either. I like Littleton for some of the shops and restaurants. We were shopping for our upcoming post-Christmas, Christmas celebration we are having with friends at the end of the month. After shopping it was lunch at the Littleton Freehouse.

I don’t have twitter and I don’t recall seeing anyone her claim we were having a record cold stretch.

What a difference a little elevation makes. I’m down in Littleton and there is maybe 1”-2” of snow. This area gets snow holed so I guess it’s not really a surprise.

The other thing is that I don’t believe anyone has said there has been historic cold. I usually ignore obvious trolls but that’s just a stupid post.

That stuff is awful. My car has radar sensors behind the front badge and that slime builds up to the point that the sensor won’t work. -
I noticed that. Accumulation sucked all day and then the fluff at the end stacked up a little. Maybe 2” here too.

It is. I’m similar to Jerry in that I like to take evening walks. Unfortunately, I don’t have an 8 mile lit route. I go down to the Montpelier bike path once or twice a week but that only gets me a couple of miles most nights.

Holy arctic. It's 5.3° and snowing lightly. I was just out back with a guy working on my snowblower in the uninsulated, unheated shed. He had no gloves on. I'm frozen.

First week of 2025 in the books. Pretty much normal at MPV.

What is your commuting tolerance? And, is it just upslope you’re interested in? The job market is best in Chittenden County but if you don’t mind commuting, living in Lamoille County could work or even farther east around Hardwick is fine. HVAC techs can pretty much find work across the state.

Not long after I posted, the spigot seemingly turned off. Looks like 1.5-2.0 through early afternoon.

The flow doesn't seem blocked to me. It's been snowing here all morning and with a really blocked flow, it can be sunny here while blizzarding along and west of the spine.

I think we are on the 7th or 8th day in a row of snow up here. The northern spine has been getting lit up. Even here its been snowing daily, just in really small amounts. I think I was at 4" for the period before today and it looks like we have gotten another inch or so over night.
