My Wunderground forecast has 4” on Sat night/Sunday, 2” on Wednesday, 6” on Thursday, 6” on Saturday and 6” next Sunday. 24” over the next week. I guess I’m glad I got the snowblower tuned up.

They were so much better when they were still on drugs.

Do any of them ever really find their way back?

I was in Bethel for a family reunion this weekend and took a drive up to SR. Seemed like plenty of snow. Of course I don't live in one of the favored VT areas so I may not be able to judge all that accurately.

3.5" here so far and still snowing. A balmy 13.2°

Well, I do have 120 miles of latitude and almost 700' in elevation on you.

Is everything below average a rat? I'd have to do a JSpin standard deviation calculation (which I'm not capable of) and put it those terms to figure it out. I average around 100" per year here but if I got to 80" or 85" and had coverage for the vast majority of the year, it may not be great but I couldn't call it a rat. Last year, I got about 110" but there was a lot of melting and bare ground. That's closer to a rat than the first situation, at least to me.

It's also possible, probably likely, that it ends up somewhere between a rat and great. Most winters do.

I'm at the office in Waterbury today and its been like a snowglobe all day.

Spent the weekend with my friends who live in Presque Isle. They not much if anything there but said similar stuff to you about further north.

It definitely settled today. I had to clear the driveway after being gone for the weekend and it was definitely sloppy at times. Not much melting though.

10:1 paste? That’s not paste in my book, it’s pretty much standard fare. Paste starts a little lower, like 8:1 maybe.

Up in Bethel, ME for a family reunion weekend. Drive over yesterday featured ok look snowcover most of the way except for the stretch between Gorham and Bethel. A real lack of snow along Rt.2. It picked back up in Bethel. Got what looks like 4” or so overnight. And sounds like about 3” back home.

Nice. The trail to my place got closed because of a new house being built below me last year. We still haven’t found a re-route. It’s on the docket for next year.

I have used an older Garmin for the last several years. It’s a pretty basic model but I like it. It’s not as accurate as a laser range finder but even the basic model I have has distances to hazards, the ability to measure shots and score tracking plus a few other things that I don’t really take advantage of. It also acts as a fitness tracker and can receive notifications from my phone. I’ve definitely gotten my $120 worth over the 5 or 6 years I’ve had it. I got an Apple Watch for Christmas this year so I am going to be switching to using that with an app. We’ll see if I like that better.
