  1. Well things changed and I really don't need a snowstorm this weekend. You know how life is. You can have it all! *But really I will take anything over ice, so if it is a choice between ice or snow, please GAWD give me snow.
  2. As long as it is not ice, I can deal with it. Bring it on!
  3. Time for Spring...no more snow! You can have it up their if you want it.
  4. Too much caffeine today and not enough sleep has me on edge lol.
  5. well it is not like I was posting in any seriousness and all. did you see the "lol" or maybe I need to do the /s thing for people on here. Fukk winter I am ready for Spring. Bring on severe weather season!
  6. just in time for a repeat of March 2008! two feet would beat the 20 inches from that! lol
  7. Maybe we will just get a sloppy mix with periods of rain, snow, sleet, freezing rain, etc. so that we don't get too much of one thing. I would rather have good old fashioned snow rather than anything else, but anything is better than an ice storm of any kind. * I used to work in rehab and we were always packed with patients after ice storms...many broken arms and legs, sometimes even broken hips, but more than anything there were broken wrists-it is just out of instinct that people try to break their falls with their arms/hands. NO to ice!
  8. A flood watch is in place now for much of Central Ohio with 1-2 inches of rain or more around Tuesday-which is the last thing we need. We had some street and yard flooding with the last rain smh. And as for Thursday-no ice!!!!! I will take snow or even sleet but please God no ice!
  9. Switching over very quickly from heavy sleet to heavy snow here now.
  10. Damn I just took a better look outside and it is glazing over here too.
  11. Well I wake up and see that I am now expected to get about 8 inches of snow and very little ice. Good news!
  12. That state up North lol. Just having some rivalry fun.
  13. Plus the main complaint was about Chicago. Illinois is not a surrounding state-it does not touch Ohio. Bad enough we are adjacent to TSUN and are included with them lol.
  14. Sleet generally will not bring about losing power as it does not tend to stick to stuff as much. But yeah I would rather have snow or nothing than have a glacial mess on the ground, roads, walks, and (ugh)cars. Anything but an ice storm.
  15. Just a 25 mile shift SE...even 15 or 20...to take me out of the .25/.5 inches of ice. I will take the snow...no to ice and then snow with wind(power outages).
  16. Good thing I made my grocery run for myself and my father yesterday. With the watches being posted I. cannot. imagine. what Kroger is going to look like from here on out. And I got almost the last eggs left and there were NO crackers and only two boxes of Wheaties left! lol. I don't even drink cow's milk but I bought some...herd mentality I guess. *goes to pray to the Gods of Winter to spare us from ice
  17. Sounds horrible. Even south of us does not sound good either. Can only hope for us to get what they are supposed to get north of us. I would much rather deal with a foot of snow* than this glacial ice crap. Just thinking about Xmas 2004 makes me shudder. *I know this is heresy, but at this point I want Spring and really would like just all heavy rain.
  18. No ice No ice No ice!!!! No heavy sleet, freezing rain, snow mix!!! Someplace else can have ALL the snow as long as we don't get a damn glacier deposited in Central Ohio.
  19. I mean, whatever. I am sure there are plenty that only follow for landfalls. I enjoy tracking them regardless. This has already been a better CV season than last year with Larry (which did landfall) and Sam, the strongest MDR system since Lorenzo. 2020 Paulette was kind of meh. Really, Teddy was the only quality MDR system last year. At any rate, it's far from dead or boring. I agree especially with what we have had already let's just follow and enjoy the fish storms. Maybe a close call for Bermuda or something for some excitement- and they are built for that kind of thing it seems so they will be fine with a close call. We may be following stuff in the Caribbean through December anyways there is plenty of time left as well.
  20. And the debate is getting a bit nasty too. Maybe it is anger that Sam and these two storms to follow will be only for the fishes?
  21. Damn it is a good thing this is going to curve out. Nobody needs this landfalling anywhere. Beautiful on satellite though.
  22. Well I wanted rain and I got it. At the airport CMH is reporting less than an inch, while we have to be pushing 3 inches or so 20 miles west. Big cutoff in the rainfall as you move east across Central Ohio. Bless the cool air that has moved in!
  23. Lots of rain. The most this year with some minor street and yard flooding. It seems odd to get this much heavy rain and for it to seem so cool and to not have a hint of thunder. Over two inches of rain in about 4 hours so far...
