The clouds make a huge difference. My car has been showing anywhere from 82F to 92F based on full sun or shaded by cumulus. Jumping all over the place driving around town even at similar elevations.

Man, a min of 69F at FVE, that’s wild. We hit 53F here which was nice for sleeping last night. Already back up to 80F though.

We don't have them at home but once above 2,500ft they come to life. Up at this elevation was pretty rough without any wind.

They finally arrived here... the bugs have exploded in the higher terrain. Climo has risen enough for them to prosper. They are ferocious in this wind-less heat. Black flies mostly, but the dog gets an occasional deer fly. Anytime the wind blows they can't compete, but damn these light to calm wind speeds let them come to life.

Everyone was tickling each other's testicles. Seems like the usual hiatus when he gets fed up... lurks but doesn't post. Need to get the Tolland Stem up to 90F for a return.

Yeah I have a big diurnal range fetish as many have noticed, but it's practical too. We left all the windows and sliding doors open last night and this morning the indoor temp was 59-60F. Before I left for the day I closed the south facing drapes and shut the place up tight. Even with a high in the 90s and full sun, the indoor temp late this afternoon when I got home was only 71F and very comfortable. It's already 72F off a high of 91F... we've lost 15 degrees in an hour and 15 minutes... so open all the windows and doors again and let the natural A/C work again overnight.

I’m moving in that direction but I’ll never enjoy high dews. I actually really enjoy this dry heat. Never would’ve even 5 years ago. Maybe not as drastic as you, I mean you violently hated dews/heat even just like 2-3 years ago it seemed...but I’m getting there. I think my bigger change in preferences has been in brutal winter cold. I want it to be 20-32F and snowing, ha. I have really started hating sub-zero cold the last few years.

BTV has been hanging at 25% or lower RH the past few hours. 91/47 for 22% would qualify as a dry heat afternoon.

Yeah it doesn’t have to be this hot... I definitely enjoy the novelty of big heat though in NNE. Certainly wouldn’t want this all summer though. I’m also a big fan of the drastic changes that seem to happen up here...from a weekend of highs in the 50s with folks lighting wood stoves, to going on a run of 86-93 style heat right after that. At least it’s been real dry with great sleeping weather and 90 doesn’t feel that bad when relative humidity is under 30%.

Even the bears are feeling the heat. Seen outside a Stowe Village business. He’s so over it.

Same as MWN at 6,000ft. 10 degrees warmer at 4,000ft at the picnic tables lol.

90/53 for 29% RH. The one big thing I notice with the low dews is that there’s still a substantial comfort difference between sun and shade. The shade feels 15F cooler and almost nice. Then in full sun you feel the torch. When it’s humid it seems not to matter.

Yeah, it’s amazing how flat and wide open it is from agriculture in southern Quebec approaching Montreal. Once into Canada it might as well be Kansas until you hit Montreal except for the French road signs. It is just open flat fields as far as the eye can see... until you get to Jay Peak area.

Crystal clear skies over the new Torch Capital of the East Coast... NNE and Canada. Looks like the St Lawrence Valley is already turning into a hot desert.

88/56 here at 12:40pm. 90F is a lock. Maybe low-90s? BML is at 90/50 for only 26%... that's some dry New England heat.

MWN at 64F already and MMNV1 at 77F. Both summits are within 8 degrees of their all-time record max temps again... much earlier in the day though. What a torch aloft.

Very cool to see that wind kick up and a fast temp jump, love how it's all connected. Crazy dry air too, this looks like the 3rd or 4th day in a row without even shallow Cu over the mountains. That's very hard to do in the warm season, especially with temps this warm.

Holy crap, yeah. 84F at 11:35am and 88F at 11:40am. That's a solid 5-min jump!

84/57... off this morning's low of 48F. After back--to-back days of 43 degree diurnal ranges, we should do at least 40 again today. Looks like BML is close to a 40 degree swing so far this morning already. Nice to see DIT lurking, hopefully he comes back with the heat.

Opposite of Eyewall... he moved to BTV and then the airport went two full calendar years without seeing 6" or more in a single event. Of course, he finally got a 30-incher in March 2017 but man that was a rough stretch starting 2015.

Got down into the 40s again last night after 88F yesterday, wife had to grab another blanket for the bed as I left all windows and doors open again, ha. I absolutely love this high heat followed by crisp nights.

Ha, yeah it’s been odd. Crazy that we had highs in the 50s just over the weekend. This afternoon was almost 40 degrees hotter than Saturday afternoon.
