Is the Tuesday-Wednesday flood watch related to Debby? Looked like PRE wouldn’t even be until Friday or so? -
As with much in life, there’s a lot more nuance than just the simple phrase/answer. If it was just that easy, everyone would do it.

Dew is 64F here and the lowest it’s been in August so far. Yeah, it’s only the 4th day of the month, but before today the lowest dew was 66F over the past several days. Most of it spent 70-73F. It’s actually impressive how different a dew point of 64 feels compared to low-70s. Normal summer feel vs the tropics. Our average low is 55F and has been for a bit. We haven’t gotten below 65F in 6 days. Finished July at +4.9 and starting August off at +11.

It truly is wild how little rain it takes right now to blow out every little creek. Flash flood guidance is low and it’s real. Water table is so high.

That was enough to bring small creeks out of their banks here. Water flowing across RT 108 in several places. Just an inch of rain… 2-3” probably washes the road out again.

Ah the summit is well west of there on the zig-zag county line…. SW of the M in Morristown where the reflectivities got hung up. The Mtn icon looks like center of town. Either way, east of Barre looks to be getting dumped on in that loop. Stalled cell ahead of the line.

We definitely took the meat of that. I’m along the country club and river, my neighbor’s is the station 1.11”. The Stowe CoCoRAHS guy has the 0.66”. Wonder if his is slow to update or the bulk lifted just north of the true village center. That was a gully washer. Add another inch to the summer total.

This is bonkers. Yard is an instant lake. 4”/hr and a very fast inch so far. Dog is so freaked out by the constant thunder she won’t eat dinner and is under the bed. Thinks the world is ending.

73/70 at 11:30pm in a NNE valley bottom location of 750ft. Tropical evenings continue. Identical readings at MVL and MPV. Widespread, thick, humid air rules the low-levels. Is BOS really 81F closing in on midnight? HFD at 73/72.

18z GFS just ended Vermont late next week. Pack up the wagons, time to abandon most settlements along any waterway after that.

Ha we all used to argue about 59F vs 62F being considered a humid day or a dry one. Now it’s just like 65+ for weeks on end.

It has been impressive, this stretch of dews. Tropical evenings. The bugs up here are insane. Tons of rain and a lot of warm nights, these things are thriving. Turn a flood light on outside and it looks like it’s snowing from the insects.

Ah gotcha. Fair trade Maui for Cape Cod, ha. I’d punt an entire week of beach weather on the Cape to be there for a solution like that 18z GFS.

It’s still 84F at BOS, 83F at BDL and 78F at ORH… late night. 84F at BOS on the water after 10pm is just straight tropical. BDL same vibe. Even at 1,000ft it’s Key West. Also interesting that the hottest evening readings are at the three major SNE climo spots.

True, given the general state of the climate, if this corrects one way, the money is on it going warmer.
