Was April the only month sort of like normal in the past like 8 months? Just the baseline right now seems so high. Not sure what needs to change but I’d put my money on high minimums at the very least each summer now… those overnight temps really pump the departures each summer now.

I don’t think it’s much of a stretch. I’d bet top 5 is likely most years now. At least through high minimums.

We got lucky with a nice soak here along the river and Stowe CC. One final round moving through, might get to 1.5”? A couple cells maxed out overhead, maybe feeding on the warmth/moisture pooling in the valley.

Just barely over an inch as the stratus is slightly over flowing. We needed it. Looks like we may have one more round to go.

Even had some damage in our backyard, our tree but landed in the neighboring HOA. Still think it’s our problem though, ha. These White Pines love coming down.

5am temp: 80F at MVL. Never seen that before. It’s above the average high for the date at 5am. Hades.

I will say, this is also a June vibe. Glacier National Park in Montana. The reported amount was 12” new. June 18th.

I posted that earlier, odd variation. The 5-min variation was very high compared to normal. Like a brief heat spike in there.

Putting up a +20 day this time of year is tough, but BTV did it. Ha. Normal is 79/58 and BTV did 96/80.

I’m not yearning for darkness, that’s for sure. Walking the dog right now, sun is still high in the sky, sweating just walking for an hour, but I wouldn’t trade for it to have been dark for 3 hours now like in December.

The past twenty years on the forums have seen many a winter weenie become disenfranchised and start to enjoy the weather they can count on, heat and torches. Really has accelerated recently, following the temperature graph, ha.

I think they are just saying that if the ASOS is off a degree or two, it’s not impacting Air Traffic safety. Air safety is the sites primary reason, climate just piggybacks on it. If that thing starts giving faulty visibility and ceiling readings, folks will be on it immediately. Temps get a lot of leeway before techs are sent.

Ahh didn’t think about that. Rain cooled air rolling through… despite not raining over the site, the air is briefly characteristic of a rain cooled mass.

Crazy the effect the cloud cover has. MVL here got up to 93F, then cloudy and dropped to 84F, now back to 90F with sun again. BTV in the past hour has ranged from 90F to 97F on the 5-min data. Quite the spread bouncing around.
