  1. Bernie Rayno's circled view of where area of "heaviest" snow could be...
  2. Interesting you can see the difference where State College has updated and increased their snow totals...
  3. I will be up early need to clear drive and get down to SIC in time for 5k run at noon
  4. Winter Storm Warning just issues for Western Counties for 3" to 7" of snow for State College zones
  5. Nice to see such consistency across the models...kind of thought the Euro would have a strange run like it did before the last storm....I still kind of think everyone stays with a WWA as meeting the 5"+ criteria seems to be marginal at best. But clearly best shot for any warnings would be Chester, Delaware, Lower Montco and Bucks...
  6. Winds have been gusting into the 20's from the northwest this morning. We should see sun for much of the day before clouds increase this afternoon. Snow will develop from west to east across the county toward the midnight hour tonight. The snow should end near daybreak with a general 2" to 5" forecast across the area. Sun returns for the rest of the weekend with temps not too far from normal levels with highs in the upper 30's. Chester County Records for today: High 75 Phoenixville (1954) / Low -2.8 below Glenmoore & East Nantmeal (2015) / Precipitation 1.53" Chester Springs (2016) / Snow 17" West Chester (1958)

  8. Of course true science is never called or deemed settled!! It must and should always be questioned!! Climate change is real and constant and will never change.
  9. Truth! if here in Chester County we get 3.6" or more of snow on Saturday we would be above our average snowfall through the 17th of February of 25.3" of snow.
  10. Some snow flurries falling here across NW Chesco with the temp at 32.6 as the clipper passes to our north.

  12. 12z Euro with a Chester County jackpot....let the southern shift begin!
  13. Increasing clouds today and a bit milder so we should see a lot more melting today with highs near 40 degrees. A chance of sprinkle or flurry tonight. A little chillier tomorrow and then snow arrives again toward midnight tomorrow night and should be done by 9am Saturday morning. At this point the NWS is forecasting a general 1" to 3" across the area. Colder Sunday and then a gradual warming trend next week. Chester County Records for today: High 77 Phoenixville (1949) / Low 11 below Coatesville (1899) / Precipitation 2.25" Glenmoore (1984) / Snow 13" Coatesville (1958)

  15. I suspect highly unlikely for the LV and more likely well to the south of that areas to maybe see any WWA....
  16. If I was a forecaster....I would be telling my LHV folks this will be south of them and likely south of the M/D line for "best" relative snows....but what do I know??
  17. Nice relative agreement on all models....unusual! I'm running a 5k that day....so it will happen!
  18. We have had some off and on light snow flurries this morning across the area and in fact are seeing some now here in East Nantmeal. The sun will return today and while we will be below average with temps not too far above freezing we will see some good snow melt with the increasing sun angle. Cloudier tomorrow with a couple clipper type systems the first one tomorrow night and another toward Saturday AM. The first one may bring a coating of snow while the second one on Saturday could bring a small accumulation of snow especially to more southern areas. Temps will remain below normal through the weekend. Records for today: High 63 (1949) / Low 4 below (1979) / Precipitation 1.25" (2007) / Snow 10.0" (1899)
