  1. Our gloomy weather continues another 0.09" fell here in East Nantmeal since midnight. We have picked up 1.45" of rain so far this week. Rain chances continue though no wash out days through Tuesday. Today will be the relative warmest day of the week with temps reaching the low 70's. We fall back into the 60's for highs for most of the upcoming week.

Some rainfall amounts over the last 24 hours Atglen 0.21" / East Nantmeal 0.29" / Chester Springs 0.17"/ Glenmoore 0.24" / Warwick 0.28" / Devault 0.20" / Kennett Square 0.15" / West Chester 0.26". Some additional steadier and briefly heavier rain should move through over the next couple hours especially NW parts of the county. Shower chances continue through Saturday AM before we dry out and cool down to start October.

Rain chances increase again by late tonight through Thursday morning. By Thursday we warm to above normal in the mid to upper 70's before drying out and cooling down for the weekend.

Shower chances increase a bit by Tuesday night through Wednesday. Sun returns Thursday with temps a little above normal to finish the work week and falling to close to near normal by the weekend.

Some spots especially in southwest sections of Chester County saw some rain overnight with a spotter in Atglen reporting 0.40" - we saw nada up in East Nantmeal. For the many of us that missed out on rain last night there will be a better chance for many by Tuesday night through Wednesday. Temps this week will be not too far from normal to slightly below for the first week of fall.

It shows that the current cycle of climate change now has the Earth at its coolest point in the last 485-million years...if the past is a predictor then maybe we have some more warming to go before we turn colder again in the next normal climate change cycle.

Below is the actual and the adjusted NOAA average temps June - Actual 72.5 - adj to 72.8 = +0.3 degrees July - Actual 76.8 - adj to 77.9 = +1.1 degrees - only 2 stations of 18 was this high August - Actual 72.6 adj to 73.7 +1.1 degrees - only 1 station of 18 were this high

Here in East Nantmeal we have picked up a scant 0.04" of liquid gold - we are over 2.50" below normal so far here in September....but still running on a surplus of over 3 inches for the year to date. Shower chances will continue till tomorrow before we clear out and cool down over the weekend. By the end of the weekend and start of the new work week temps will struggle to escape the 60's in higher spots with lows well down into the 50's with even some 40's again in the lower elevations across the area.
