  1. When did ABE lose it's snow cover? how many consecutive days did they have 1" of snow cover?
  2. With today's low of 24.4 we have now surpassed last year's number of sub-32 lows with our 79th such morning vs. the 78 last year - with the last sub-32 morning being recorded on May 10th

Seasonal Snowfall to date at 52.2" with now 12 events this season: 2/26-27 ((0.8") / 2/22 (5.0") / 2/18-19 (7.5") / 2/10-11 (2.0") 2/7 (8.8") / 2/5 (0.3")/ 1/31-2/3 (16.6") / 01/3 - 1.0" /12/25 (0.3") /12/16-17 (9.3") 12/9 (0.3") / 12/2 (0.3") with the 36.7 inches of snow this month this represents the 4th snowiest February in Western Chester County history going back to 1894. Of note 3 of the 4 snowiest February months have occurred since 2010. The seasonal total of 52.2" is good for the 20th all-time snow season for Chester County

  6. This will likely be the last sunset with a solid snow cover in East Nantmeal....however we will finish the month of February with at least 1" of snow on the ground every day of the month for only the 7th time since 1894.
  7. Total snow of 0.8" (0.5" since midnight) of snow overnight. We have now recorded measurable snow on 12 days here in February. Temps never fell below 33.1 here in East Nantmeal - 3 of last 4 days have remained above freezing - snow cover down to 4" this AM.
  8. 12:45am 0.5" of snow here in East Nantmeal....it just wants to snow this month....temp down to 33.8 and steady snow

  13. 1st morning since Jan 22nd that steps stayed above freezing all night...34.4 for the low - I see spots 200 feet lower are in the upper 20's....East Nantmeal where rad cooling dies!

Some snow records for Western Chester County PA (1894 to Present) with the storm total of 5.0" yesterday - 4th snowiest February at 35.9" (snowiest the 69.8" in 1898) - 20th snowiest season 51.4" (snowiest 1898-99 with 95.0" of snow) - 4th time in last 8 years we have surpassed 50" of snowfall in a season (2017-18 last time) - At least 1" of snow has been on the ground for every day of February. If the snow cover lasts through this week it will mark the 7th February with snow observed on the ground every day of the month. This would also be the 3rd February in the 8 years with a totally snow covered February (last 2015)

  18. Heaviest Snow of the day here in East Nantmeal but I can see on the CC radar the sleet line is only about 15 miles south of here....

  20. Snow started here in East Nantmeal at 910am quickly getting steadier temp at 30.1 with Tempest at 29.3
  21. March is the best month for elevation driven events....the way this year has gone....I suspect snow is not done in much of the NW philly burbs over 500 ft ASL....
  22. Wxsim with 12z NAM and 6z GFS This really looks to me like one of those events where every 100 feet of elevation will make a difference... Monday: Dense overcast. Snow likely in the morning, then a mix of snow and rain likely in the afternoon. High 32. Wind chill ranging from 17 to 24. Wind south around 9 mph, gusting to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation 80 percent. Precipitation (liquid equivalent) mostly between half an inch and one inch. Snow accumulation 4 to 6 inches.
