Central PA Winter 2022/2023

We have already seen our high temperature for today at 52.3 degrees this morning at 4:58am. We are down to 43.8 here at 8am. Tonight should be the coldest night in a couple weeks and there is an increasing chance of some light snow across much of the county tomorrow late morning and afternoon. All models show some very minor snow accumulations during the day with temps struggling to pass the freezing mark. Warmer again by Sunday with snow quickly changing to rain on Monday. Records for today: High 74 (1985) / Low 0.3 below zero (2015) / Precipitation 2.47" (2016)/ Snow 5.5' (1907) -

Some rain possibly mixed with sleet to start beginning this afternoon with temps in the low 40's. Temps should start to warm toward morning on Thursday and highs should soar well into the 60's by afternoon. Then a cold front passes tomorrow night with temps falling to below normal both Friday and Saturday. High temps on Saturday may stay below freezing all day. We could also see some snow showers or flurries on Saturday. We should start to warm right back up again by Sunday. Records for today: High 68 (1974) / Low 4 (1918) / Precipitation 1.82" (2003) / Snow 7.1" (2001) -

If you don't like the weather at anytime this week...just wait a few hours. A very changeable pattern for the rest of the week. We picked up 0.15" of rain overnight and will see another round of rain this PM. While amounts will be light there could be some thunder and high wind gusts later today with the frontal passage. Colder tonight and tomorrow with more rain arriving tomorrow night then very warm on Thursday with highs well into the 60. Temperatures then fall below normal by Friday and Saturday with a slight chance of some snow on Saturday before warming back up above normal by Sunday. Records for today: High 77.7 (2018) / Low Zero (1903) / Precipitation 2.49" (1902) Snow 12.3" (1947) -

Same UN source - but no worries let's make the same forecast 33 years later and see if folks today will buy into climate alarmism.... -

Yesterday was our 1st below normal temperature day since February 4th and only our 6th below normal day this year! Back to above normal temps for much of the upcoming work week before below normal temps and maybe a little snow to rain mix next weekend. Records for today: High 67.2 (2017) / Low 2 below (1978) / Precipitation 1.20" (1898)/ Snow 12.0" (1972). Of note that 12" of snow today in 1972 would be followed on the 23rd by 1" of snow. It would not snow again across most of Chester County for 22 months until the 8" snowstorm of December 16-17, 1973. -

It felt chilly this AM with our low of 23.5 degrees but that is actually only 1 degree below normal. Our ongoing "non-winter" has us feeling more like North Carolina climate this season! After today we return to more of an Carolinas climate as we see temps back into the 50's to even 60's by Thursday! Best rain chances this week will be Tuesday AM and Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Both the European and GFS models have some accumulating snow by next Saturday....but we know how that has gone this season! The records for today: High 70 (1981) / Low 7 below zero (1903) / Precipitation 1.08" (1960) Snow 10.0" (1979) this was the 1st day of a 2 day storm that brought 15.2" of snow to our County. -

We should reach our high temperature in the mid to upper 50's today before noon and then see temps fall into the 20's by later this evening. We have rain now and should see up to 0.25" of additional rain today. Colder with near normal temps in the low 40's tomorrow before back to well above normal by Sunday. Records for today: High 67 (1976) / Low 9 below zero (1979)/ Record daily precipitation and snow 1.84" of water equivalent and 18.4" of snow part of a 2 day storm total of 18.9" from way back in 1900. This was the 18th largest snowstorm in County history. -

Our mild weather continues today into tomorrow morning until a sharp cold front moves across the area which will drop temps during the day tomorrow down into the 20's by late tomorrow night into Saturday morning. We will also see some much needed rain as we have only seen 0.09" of rain on just 2 days this month. We are almost 2" below normal this month. I have heard reports that Marsh Creek Lake is as low as folks have seen it in a long time. The combined lack of snow and rain is taking it's toll. The good news is we could see between 0.50" and 0.75" across Chester County between showers today and then more rain associated with the cold front tomorrow morning. Records for today: High 72 degrees (1954) / Low 2.8 below zero (2015) / 14.7" (2003) as part of the PD2 Blizzard of 2003 when we received 21.3" of snow - this was the 5th largest February snowstorm in Chester County history. Happy Pitchers and Catchers reporting Day for those who celebrate!!! -

Of course....they can't produce an actual disaster verification or prediction except what a model tells them how disastrous the world will be in 200 years..... -
Except the statistical analysis proves there is no bias or by chance relationships between the various data sets and observations in the data. If there was the statistical p-value in the data would not have delivered the level of significance against the null hypothesis. It's simple scientific data testing and analysis.
-
Of course as the actual real world data is not aligned with the popular global story....I get it

Thank you! Agreed the fact that some have been convinced that this is a crisis and that young children like mine rank climate change as a threat to their future is ludicrous. Apparently they are concerned about bringing children into the world due to this so called "climate disaster" is pure unadulterated lunacy!! Even if we warm by 1 degree (a big assumption) in their lifetime by 2100 their life will not significantly change for them or their children. The fact anyone with dissenting opinions on any topic is silenced or derided is sad. Science must always be questioned!!
