  1. There were some pretty good gusts here for a time from around 3 to 5. The airport PWS down the street was clocking upper 50s.
  2. Any snow left at the end of the day? Just a few piles here.
  3. My recycling bin got swept 1/4 mile down the street #wewillrebuild
  4. It's nice that I didn't lose much snow depth today. Haven't checked the forecast lately but I'm sure this is the start of a deep and long-lived pack!
  5. I got a bonus 1.4" today, pretty nice. Maximum depth never exceeded 12.5", but I'm just gonna add 12.0" + 1.4" because life is short and joy is hard to come by
  6. Roads are getting snow covered again with this latest burst
  7. I should get a foot, even without help from the daytime stuff tomorrow. What a great event. The intensity and flake size are awe-inspiring right now - when one of the big aggregates lands on my jacket, it almost feels like being hit by a snowball
  8. Getting into the final death band now, pouring enormous aggregate flakes. 9.5" at 11:30, let's see where I'm at in another half hour
  9. Less than an inch here too so far. Snow growth is a bit improved but still just meh. I'm still hoping to rip for a couple hours before the dryslot.
  10. I'd really love to see a flake here at some point if it's not too much trouble, no worries if not
  11. I'm hedging toward a healthy 4-6 in the valley. The show is probably wrapping up by 12 am Sunday which doesn't leave a ton of time to pile it up, but should still be a nice appetizer for later in the month
  12. Pretty much. I-81 was at a standstill through much of Virginia on my way to and from Greenville in 2017. I think most experts expect even higher travel rates for this one.
  13. Would be fun. Might be time to plan something...
  14. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all. I hope everyone's having fun with family or at least making it through.
  15. 2.75" in the gauge with a couple breaks of sun at 60F.
  16. It's always amazing to me when people can remember details about storms more than, like, 3 years ago
  17. 3.03" per the tipper (likely inflated a bit), had a pasty 0.4" of snow this morning which is now a distant memory with breaks of sun and temps climbing back into the upper 30s
