  1. I'll take my 3-6" on the GFS and like it, I suppose
  2. The FV3 is picking up on a death band pivoting over the OC crew for several hours tomorrow morning
  3. I'm also in Florida between those same dates so we're definitely gonna miss something
  4. NYC - 13.4" LGA - 15.7" ISP - 24.0" JFK - 16.2" EWR - 21.3" Taking a random stab at subsidence screw zones
  5. I'm excited to see some high-ratio fluff with this, even if it's less than the 15" of grains from last month. That's something that's been lacking so far this season.
  6. Almost there. We can track the crucial Plains vortmax on WV imagery tonight and watch how it amplifies the trough.
  7. Adam's gets crazy even without an impending storm, I can't imagine trying to fight the crowds tonight or tomorrow morning
  8. Lines are growing at the gas stations in town, people are catching on
  9. Yeah, someone around 84 is getting buried. I'm really excited for tonight's mesos to try and get a feel for where the best bands could set up
  10. The groundhog slander too. I've never seen folks so indignant about winter weather in the middle of February
  11. GFS and GGEM are both really solid with some good banding potential in the interior. Would love for the euro to tick wetter again at 12z
  12. That's a real scrape job on the hi-res Canadian. The low only gets to about Wallops latitude before punting east and the CCB doesn't really start cranking until eastern SNE. I do think the NAM is obviously overdone, hopefully the goalposts hold and most end up with a nice warning event.
  13. There would be some nice banding up here with that run, we take
  14. That's a really nice storm for the mid-HV on the NAM and ICON.
  15. I'm not expecting much with the Sunday event, maybe a few inches of deform dregs. The GFS ticking SE at 12z is a decent sign that the westward trend has hit its bounds imo
  16. Pouring snow right now, best of the winter probably. Picked up an inch in the last few minutes
  17. 41F here and have a shot at touching 50 for the first time since December 19th. Telling all my friends winter is over and it's safe to put away the shovels!
  18. I just walked out to the Saugerties lighthouse - their station is at 8F with 44 mph gusts. I could only stand being on the water for a few minutes before it really started to suck
  19. 36 at home. Streak over, winter over, life over
  20. 24 with no wind feels almost comfy atm
  21. Tons of ice climbers out in Platte Clove today. The wind is biting and the sun still doesn't help much.
  22. yeah, I have a leak in my house presumably from the gutters, even with (or maybe because of) the heating wires on. It's a pain.
  23. +7 for me here. It was quite gusty most of the night, enough to keep waking me up
  24. Did you get any sleet? I woke up to a nice crust of pellets glued together with some freezing drizzle.
  25. Melted down to 1.45" for a meaty 10:1
