  1. My tipper gauge is still in the box but I don't think it was a very impressive rainfall up here
  2. Its a cool spot in spite of itself. Several great indie music venues, fun cocktail bars and a few dives, thriving firefly habitats on the outskirts of town, world-class views and hiking in all directions. Just don't make eye contact with the original hippies and you're good
  3. More or less. I'm envisioning it being a temp thing for like 3-5 years but the location is good since I find myself hanging out in Kingston/Woodstock/Catskill quite a bit. Proximity to a more varied network of trails is also a plus, and I have some good space to keep the gardens going. Definitely a climo downgrade, though it's not like I've been racking up the KUs in Millbrook over the last decade. At least I'll be more likely to head into the Catskills and actually take advantage of the pack there during our all but assured gradient winters
  4. I'm moving up to Saugerties this weekend, rip to my legendary radiating hole
  5. Rallied late to hit 101.1, that's serious heat for June
  6. I started to a little nervous about the gardens overnight, ended up with a low of 42/34. Not far from patchy frost territory
  7. never could have figured it out
  8. Vibes over facts until the bitter end!!!
  9. 1.4" in central Dutchess at 600' with roads covered
  10. who's seeing snow? 32F here with a coating and ongoing r/s mix
  11. Raining at 32.5 here with around 0.1" ice, after 1.9" of snow last night
  12. Do you keep daily depth stats? It's been pretty patchy at times imby (today would have been a T for depth with mostly bare ground, for example). Definitely more deep winter appeal than the past several years, in any case
  13. I'm around! Not much to add to what you said - my interest in these minor snowfalls has been suffering a little. It's nice to see frequent snow, but I'm not as motivated to comb through the soundings trying to figure out whether to expect 2" or 3.5". Overall I'm ready to move on to spring for the same reasons as you, especially if we can't get a bigger event to shape up.
  14. It's running a couple degrees colder here vs. this time last night. Ended up at -8.5 this morning, so -10 is probably within reach tomorrow
  15. 0.8" here, the kind that flies away with each footstep
  16. all the precip this month has not been kind to GFCIs with big loads from Christmas lights, btw
  17. 2.3" here this morning, pretty much gone now at 38F with sheet drizzle
  18. Another extremely photogenic snowfall of 2.6" this morning. It really has been a pretty solid start to the winter season so far
  19. 13 degrees this morning. Hopefully we mix out quickly and get some comfy sun this afternoon
  20. One of the big spruces in my yard has seen better days
  21. Snowing nicely again and up to 3.8" of cement. Power's out now.
