  1. Well, the trucks better be out because I have to drive back to my Nova house tomorrow morning I can't get stuck in Richmond. I'm coming up from the Outer Banks so I don't expect any bad weather until Williamsburg or further north on 64. But I'll probably leave around 7 tomorrow morning. Places like Farmville may be the local jackpot area. Hope this one Nails you guys in the Richmond area.
  2. I'd bet conversational flakes make it as far north as the Potomac. 1 inch up to Fredericksburg. Then Spotsy down thru Ashland 2-6 in that order. Not sure Richmond doesnt mix, but maybe 8+ west toward Farmville and south west. I am also not discounting a rogue band developing in central Montgomery County that stretches through Howard into Baltimore. It seems to happen during every storm in central Pennsylvania where they are seemingly not in the game but end up a doubling my snowfall.
  3. You have known him as Tenman Johnson the past 5 years or so. We all knew it was him....come on Jeb!! Sorry for the banter. If I was in Richmond I'd be feeling a lot better but would love to see some of the globals jump North as well.
  4. Drove from Northern Virginia down to North Carolina on 95 today. The Vdot trucks were holding up traffic, brining for several miles at a stretch with a police escort behind them to keep the travelers far back. Looked like a funeral procession. I'm not necessarily questioning the purpose of the brine, however why do it in the middle of the day toward Rush Hour on a work day? You have three or four more days to work with. Can easily do it overnight Friday night or Saturday night, closer to the event. They must be looking at Deep Thunder
  5. That inverted trough was very well modeled even 3 and 4 days ago. I was very skeptical but it turned out nearly perfectly modeled.
  6. Thank you for storm mode. It was very hard trying to figure out what was going on for a while. The fight to be the first one to analyze the upper air pattern at hour 78 was funny. I just pay attention to the six or eight long time contributors. And JI.
  7. Some flurries here in Prince William. Beautiful battleship grey skies (stole that from Jeb). 32.1.
  8. I'm kind of amazed how the models picked up on that norlun that's occurring right now in New Jersey, three days ago. Very impressive that such a localized event was sniffed out.
  9. Let us not defend Wilson in any way. He's been Reckless and cheap for the five years he's been in the league. That being said, every individual play should be judged on its own Merit. What happened tonight was obviously an assault. That will be dealt with by the NHL. But let's not paint Tom Wilson as the victim. He's dealt more out than what he has received. All that being said, anyone would love him on their own team. He is actually a pretty talented hockey player. He can be a 25 goal scorer if he wants to focus more on scoring instead of inforcing.
  10. It totally does. Haaa. Good job!!!
  11. My only meaningful posts are observations during an event. I am only useful to track Upstream conditions for folks further north otherwise I pretty much suck. I read the form and enjoy the model output and banter from everyone. I don't look at models anymore. No time. Everyone does such a great job here... very satisfied with the content.
  12. Wright Weather BB. I was on eastern. I never knew AccuWeather had one until it was mentioned a few times during the Eastern days.
  13. Props to you JI. It's a really cool story. No need to apologize for anything.
  14. Yep. Took me 90 minutes to get from mm150 to exit 133. 17 miles yesterday around 2pm. Horrifying traffic in Stafford. Doesn't matter what time of day, either direction. Earlier this summer, on a Saturday ( I know) it took me 3 hours to go from exit 152 to exit 130. Unreal. I'm moving away.
  15. You are screwed. Bad planning. Come on Chill. You are better than that. Good luck and safe travels. Texting and driving is fun too.
  16. 11/15/18. 1.5 12/9/18. .9 2018/2019 total. 2.4
  17. 1.5 inch snowfall to go with 1.5 inches of rain...so far. Pretty neat. Woodbridge.
  18. They brined plenty. I was out all day yesterday and they were taken care of most major roadways.
  19. I'm pretty surprised. I can report snow mixing back in with the sleet and rain just north of Fredericksburg on 95.
  20. On my way to North Carolina driving 95 South. Much more rain Quantico and South. Barely any sleet. Moderate to heavy snow in Woodbridge turn to snow sleet mix in Dumfries to all rain in Quantico.
  21. I am down in Dumfries right now and it's flipping back to snow as well
  22. Sleet/fr rain mix. 30.7/29. Woodbridge. Snow is over down here. 1 inch around my area is common. Hopefully someone can get two or three more inches before the transition. Good luck everyone. Enjoy the first real day of winter.
