  1. We didn't finish very well here in eastern Prince William. Just came in from shoveling. Cold smoke this is not. Those hours of freezing drizzle and sleet made the snow compact like concrete. Only about 5 in on the paved driveway and walkway. The kind of snow that sticks to the shovel. Back-breaking actually. There was 7 inches on the vehicle and on elevated colder surfaces so my 7.25 looks about right. Very icy. 6.1 average ground depth. Nothing like the 10-12 many of you have. Congratulations!! Good stuff.
  2. Tapering off eastern PW and Fairfax. Losing lift maybe?? Pivot in full effect, stuck at 7.25 in. About 6.2 otg. Another 1/4 inch will get me to double digits for the season. Not completely in the screw zone, but as usual, on the lower end of the scale.
  3. 1st part of storm 5.75 4-5 hour lull with ip and zr and ice accruals on surfaces <.1 2nd part of storm 1.50 7.25 so far.
  4. Pulled 1 inch the last hour but snow has gotten even heavier. Best of the day. Just over 7 in for the event. Heavy snow, 29.4.
  5. Making a nice comeback...picked up .5 in the last 30 mins. Precip enhancing around the southern DC burbs
  6. Still in pixie needles in Woodbridge. Anything promising zig zags then blows up north of me. Still total of 6.1. Maybe we can cash in after nightfall and maximize each flake. Only 5.2 on the ground.
  7. 12 miles down Bristow Rd near me and it's been a different scene. Had 4 hours of ip and zr, then a burst for 15 mins, now just pixie flakes. Just unlucky for now.
  8. I picked up .3 in from that enhanced batch in PW. First accumulation since 8 am. Gets me over 6 in total. 5.3 otg.
  9. Ok...I'm a mile west of Spriggs, south of Hoadly. Probably eight miles or so Due West of you
  10. Did you notice the wind direction changed? Almost due north now. Big Fatty's but they are transitioning down to normal fluffy dendrites now
  11. It's trying. That was a pretty long period of sleet and freezing rain. Basically 3 hours of intermittent action. Pretty cool, especially if we can tack on an inch or two of fluff later.
  12. Finally. Dendrites are fighting their way through the sleet and freezing rain here in Woodbridge. Hopefully the warm nose is getting punched out of the area with the ull emergence and the costal taking over.
  13. Zr and sleet, 31.4. It's locking in the top layer of my snow pack. Not hating that.
  14. Lmao.... finally a green element is overhead and it's pure sleet. Viva la Woodbridge.
  15. 12:50. 31.8, 5.0 on the ground. 5.75 total from 8am measurement. Snizzle with the occasional pure rain drop. A lone dendrite would please me right now. Just one.
  16. Yes. It's been a little frustrating to miss every band to the north south east and west. I'm 6 or 7 miles west of 95 and it's actually raining..
  17. Under decent returns but snizzle is barely falling. Nothing of note fell in my area since 8am. Patience....
  18. I have flurries at best. Nothing accumulated since 8am. Bands to my east and west. Compacted down under 5.5. Total was 5.75. 1-2 more may be a stretch. We'll see. No complaints.
  19. Yeah. Radar looks like poop. Skies are brightening. But....we should start to see some back building shortly. My bests snows were between 6 and 8 a.m. .
  20. Very uniform totals. I have 5.75 in. Beautiful landscape all around. Interesting day ahead. Also at my low of 27.0.
  21. Mod snow ready to spread throughout the area. The goods are starting.
  22. Radar is looking great. The next 6 hours is probably when we score our best. If it snows until 9 p.m. tomorrow this will be one of my favorite storms. It doesn't snow more than 10 or 12 hours in most cases here in the DMV
  23. Nice! Now we're talking. You are going to pile up many inches before Daybreak. An amazing plume to your Southwest is Flowing right up and over you
  24. Here comes the Gulf moisture. Radar looks great. Everyone looks to do well. It's good to see everyone, pretty much, is getting what we thought.
