  1. I'm probably over 200 miles due south of you and it is as nasty as you say it is here as well. However, not nearly as bad as April 13 when winds gusted over 70 in local areas here. Today it's definitely in the 50 to 55 range. And this is out of the South or Southeast. On the 13th they were roaring from the southwest.
  2. And he hasn't been that great for several seasons now. Not a big fan of his. Overhyped prickly individual. Often injured. Loudmouth.
  3. That's perfectly acceptable and what we were all thinking five and six weeks ago when the quarantines began. I think that's amongst the most realistic dates. Only problem being, not sure we can reach those contingencies.
  4. I dont know ANYONE that has it. All of my family and friends live in Brooklyn and Long Island. A text thread of 12 of us is ongoing since 2015. Only a few of them HEARD about someone they indirectly knew had it. One of my buds is a LT in FDNY in Brooklyn. He is on the front line. Won't get into details here but is aggravated the ground truth is completely different than what is being depicted by the press. Tv and media. Take it for what it's worth. Not a blue or red statement. Just a report. May 15 would be a nice Benchmark to shoot for.
  5. Not sure I would go there. That's insulting to our men and women who sacrifice everything to keep the WORLD safe. Unjustified comment EJ.
  6. Currituck sound, NC, just south of Virginia Beach, was boiling this morning. Pretty wild.
  7. That's the exact same shape of BUTTHEADS head.
  8. Finally have moderate snow Currituck NC, 33. Nothing accumulating. Went from 36 to 33 in about 20 minutes with the wind shift. I've seen a report of four in from Franklin and 2 inches in Suffolk but nothing around 3 inches.... in Norfolk? Good for you. Coastal influence is now starting to take place so hopefully we get a few more bands through the night
  9. Finally snowing in Currituck as the storm is pulling away. 35. Congrats to all who have seen accumulations.
  10. It didn't quite work out for Hampton Roads. Richmond did better. And I never turned to snow just south of the virginia-north Carolina border south of Chesapeake. Just a windy Rainy Night.
  11. I'm on the south side of the Dismal Swamp in pasquotank North Carolina. Definitely blobs of white missiles mixing in during the heaviest bursts Had more snow in Gates County a little while ago.
  12. It's never a good sign when it's already precipitating a hundred and fifty miles to your Northeast. I'm driving through Gates County in Northeast North Carolina with a slushie mix. 36 degrees.
  13. Not a bad look for Hampton Roads weenies. Comes at night too. May waste a lot of precip to rain on the onset along the coast. Interesting at least.
  14. I just want the ground to freeze. Is that too much to ask?
  15. I will be perfectly happy with an Outer Banks coastal scraper to the chagrin of 99.98 % of the rest of the board. Wouldn't that be something? Suppression is the only way us NC coasties can get into anything decent.
  16. Bay Effect snow flurries flying outside now. Pretty cool. A lot different from the big silver dollars that were falling earlier. Two days in a row of snow in November is pretty awesome for down this way.
  17. Looks like a pretty good band is near/over Newport News right now. Too bad we don't have many in this form in the Hampton Roads area.
  18. Nice! Based on radar it looks like some areas may get a coating. Now move that rain snow line about a hundred miles to your Southeast....Was 60 degrees still a few minutes ago here.
  19. Yeah. I'm right on the sound. Beautiful spot. Cotton Gin fire is a bummer. Really liked that place. Total loss. The main structure was 90 years old and several additions were completed through the years. There's no way they can ever duplicate the layout. And I believe that was part of the charm, walking from room to room not knowing where you were going. I'd wager they don't rebuild. Ironically, I was in Nags Head and watched the Christmas Mouse burn to the ground earlier this year. 2 iconic places. Gone.
  20. I was in the screw zone in Currituck NC. Got just under .50. Most of it from the frontal squall line at 4pm. The peninsula up thru Richmond was BROWN last week when I was up there, so it was much needed for you guys. I wonder if the Sunday Coastal is going to get far enough West for the Richmond area. I hope so.
  21. BWI 11/1 IAD 10/31 DCA 11/21 RIC 11/1 Tie Rainfall 8.92
  22. Just saw that presser with the Dr. The Most Honorable PM of The Bahamas. I swear it reminded me of Baghdad Bob.....nothing much to see here....most buildings little to no damage...infrastructure in place....locally sourced response...and this was after saying it was a generational disaster. Made no sense.
  23. Frequent CG lightning. I suspect the gusts were around 40-ish at its height. Good start to spring
