  1. It's all good. Maybe it's because I'm from hated New England We have interests down here, so I care about getting it right, not about who has snow and who does not,
  2. Kind of makes sense heavier bands have better flakes. The lift in the heavier bands would be deeper and into the DGZ. Also, the upward motion may help locally cool the column and possible lower DGZ slightly. Good stuff. We forecast for DCA and IAD, so I'll pop in during events.
  3. Yep, Had a good thump there. Still snowing, sometimes as warmer air moves in aloft flakes may get smaller or more rimed as the DGZ gets higher up and lift occurs in warmer temps. That's all.
  4. NW of DC tucked into the highlands there and NE into MD look pretty good. I think that's where mappy is?
  5. Where did I say it sucked? Maybe you missed me saying models have a good thump. Should be a good event. 4-7 DC metro I think. 4 no doubt.
  6. Behind the heavier band, flakes may get cruddy again. Also dual pol CC does show IP line moving NE from LWX. I don't think this will be a huge surprise on the + side quite yet. Models had a big thump. Although I am not sure what some of you are going for.
  7. What a great event. Been a long time coming. Enjoy and be nude.
  8. I was quickly comparing from 6z. Maybe an inch more snow? Defintely wetter from 00z.
  9. Euro doesn’t seem much different from 6z. Maybe a little wetter down near RIC and east.
  10. I may have to reprogram it after seeing that output. Foreign met?
  11. Your last sentence rings extremely loud up here. that looks to change.
  12. Oh yeah the trend seems real. I just think the QPF may be a littlE gone wild on the 12k.
  13. Jesus that’s 12-18. Holy cow. The north trend is real just not sure if 18”. Lol.
  14. Nice weenie band signal near and south of DC. Enjoy it. At least it’s january and wont melt hours later.
  15. There is something about being the “lucky” unexpected one to jack. I remember feeling that, after the long duration Feb 2015 storm. I did not expect that much snow. I had to take a walk to admire what transpired.
  16. I think it’s simple. You got a fluff job and the timing of your clearing probably allowed for primo stacking as the best bands moved in. I don’t think your measuring was flawed.
