    An AN September is like one of those stale, aggravating regimes. Everything is slowly dying or discoloring. Nothing like making it look and feel like Dubai. Blah.

    I think the moisture is also being squeezed out over the big island and Maui. That probably changes as the circulation gets closer Check out those echoes on east side of the big island.

    Pretty solid move east on the euro. Not its best moment there. GFS bumped west too. Maui to Oahu are in tough shape hydro wise in addition to the big island.

    GFS is back to hitting the big island. Yeesh.

    Oahu and Maui seem to be the islands in the cross hairs. I know there are other small islands..but just thinking about the larger populations. The rainfall could be prolific if that passes close enough. Seems to me that rainfall is the biggest hazard right now and at the moment...wind and surge not as much. There are still some EPS members that imply otherwise.

    It’s a first order station and a major hub. It’s certainly important to measure snow and do it accurately. Operations are based on that too.

    About .6” here today. Poured buckets for 15 min this morning which was 95% of the rain.

    Yeah he sort of makes you hate ern areas and then has a meltdown when it doesn't work in his favor. Maybe we'll have one of those 02-03 Nino seasons where inland got crushed and the coast didn't have winter start until Feb. We did make up quite nicely though.
