  1. Fog is gone and torch has arrived in Andover. Must be near 50.
  2. For those who got 2’ that’s not a leap of faith.
  3. Surprised it stayed this cold. 31.5. Quarter of an inch to show since QPF dried up. Refresher anyways.
  4. Even down here wintry appeal. A few tenths out there as we see frozen 2.
  5. Yo, what were your questions again regarding MIller bs? Hope is well, son.

  6. Fluff is overrated unless you are skiing. For pack and overall impressiveness, meh. It’s cool if it falls gently and stacks. That’s when it tends to fall and slide off objects making it almost deeper than it appears. But hours later, it’s already suffering from shrinkage. I’d take 10” of paste over 15” of powder any day. There’s also something impressive about heavy wet snow stuck to trees and seemingly doubling the diameter of the limbs.
  7. I have a thread just like this buried somewhere. Lots of good stuff on it too.
  8. HRRR is actually trying to show that now in recent runs.
  9. I certainly wasn’t trying to go the weenie route either. It’s just that we know guidance struggles with mid-level banding, and yesterday morning it looked good in your area. Of course everything slid east and that argument went away.
  10. JMHO but that wasn’t a good take.
  11. I’m thinking a little out of the box with the banding. The model QPF states those amounts, but the 700 low seems to argue for a bit more, hence why I mentioned that. We were talking about it in the general November thread too. Of course, easy to say that when you’re not in the hot seat.
  12. JMHO, but I think those snow amounts near PF and Jspin will go up with the aftn package. Pretty good signal nearby for heavier snows. We'll see what 12z stuff says.
  13. Oh it’s an issue the NWS knows about. We are going to try and make snow measurements great again for Boston.
  14. Yeah they usually aren't far off. Last year though, yeesh. And he is not far from the water either. For all intents and purpose, the climo in both places is fairly similar. I know you know this, but just speaking to the wider audience. There is no excuse for that difference in snow.
  15. No kidding....lol. It's telling. And the funny thing about this, is that Hingham does it more the traditional once a day I believe, vs every 6 hrs like KBOS should do.
  16. When I get a few min or an hour I'll sit down and read it.
  17. BOS should not even be used. There are other sites nearby, (myself, Hingham, and I'm sure some nearby north shore areas you can use as a proxy with what fell relative to normal).
