Something else to keep an eye on is the tropical disturbance currently in the Bay of Campeche, some models show a pretty well defined storm that parallels the coast of Mexico and then North into parts of the midwest in 5 days or so. This is obviously subjet to change and still a ways out but any kind of advecting tropical moisture could potentially exacerbate an already bad situation.
The cell in eastern KS is no slouch either. There was a lot of punting on a great setup early today because of early convection. While the main threat may have shifted a bit south and west things are still on track.
Looking at damage reports from that area vs some areas further west (Like Trotwood, Brookville, etc.) damage didn't look as bad there relative to the seemingly harder hit areas. Should be an interesting few days.
There are some pictures coming out of Trotwood now that show houses flattened and brick houses completely destroyed. Probably higher than that. Great news though about the absence of fatalities.
