    I had just over 1 inch in the Jan 16 storm just 3 miles north of the ct/mass border and most of that fell in one quick half hour burst Regarding memory lane...central and southern ct folks up to DIT were all solid 2 feet with a few places to 30" 1/12/11 and the same zone 15-20" two weeks later and what about the inv trough with up to a foot plus in early Jan in some of the same zones......

    ok well that is still very solid, best we did was 1/hr for maybe 2 hrs.....1.5/hr for 3 hours would have gotten us to at least 8-9 which for me would have been solid....you guys in that part of ct have had some very memorable events in seasons past

    Very forgettable here too...no big rates,etc anything from 5 to 6 would be acceptable but I could in no way go any higher without being a fraud most of western mass pretty meh with this one, some slightly higher amounts just to the south which is normal

    exactly...nothing special here...I really really thought we had a good shot of at least 8-10...just almost never works out here

    same here 80% coverage but my back porch and lawn still has 4-5 inches of glacier with 2 or a little less front yard

    there really is some solid potential for some places to have deep snow cover (a foot plus) by Monday morning....best odds probably central/northern mass/nw ct

    I agree with ctvalley the 2.9 might be a bit low in this area although downtown would not surprise me....4 to 5 will do it the upslope is astonishing and the retention once above 800-1k this time of year too

    and that alone makes it a far more superior event the mid level magic 20-30 inches is awesome but 12/92 and 4/97 it is not period

    there are still too many imperfections with today's forecasting, models were terrible back here right through midnight runs...business closed and schools closed, people had to scramble to make plans for kids, etc.....seems very wasteful to me
