  1. If we actually get any May snow at my house I will not be responsible for my actions...
  2. That is almost jaw dropping. It's crazy how the pattern set up overall since December. Trough west/ridge east all winter and now the reversal. But, I guess what we're seeing is still better than the repeat after repeat of severe outbreaks in the southeast, which this pattern seems to keep producing as well... Side note. My mom lives in Phoenix, AZ and the winter was chilly and wet by their standards. Now, all this week they are under an excessive heat warning with high temps running 100 to 105 nearly every day.
  3. This morning's 0z bumped things up a notch in central PA, but cut back NJ a bit. The 2.3" over Hazleton is now 3.0". It's all noise at this point though. The 0z had a convective banding look to it, so some will get more than others. Who that will be probably will change between now and game time.
  4. And right on cue, when the storm moves out, the winds move in. While it's not as bad as past events, 45 degrees with a 20+ mph wind is chilly. I am SO OVER this pattern. Where is our late April/early May normal weather???
  5. I don't know. My low this morning so far has been 41. Wednesday/Thursday look to be washouts though with 1.5 to 3 inches at my house (depending on model) at my house...
  6. Pretty much how it's been, and don't mind me. I've lost my corona coconut as well. No work, no prospects, and stuck in the house is a real downer...
  7. I can understand a love of snow for it's peaceful, serene beauty as well as how it changes a landscape, (and better yet, the pure awesomeness of a wind whipped blizzard for it's sheer power and awe) but I truly can't understand a love for 45 degree, rainy, wet, windy, miserable days.
  8. You are so right. It has felt like March for 6 months...
  9. I love mowing my lawn. I'd certainly take one of those as a snowblower, though...lol
  10. I hope so. Like I pointed out in the Philly thread, as soon as we went into lockdown, the pattern flipped and we got our "winter". To me it just feels like a piling on of misery.
  11. No treat here. Solid dark grey overcast. I'm beyond sick of the whole ordeal. The virus, the lockdown, the lack of work or ability to get hired somewhere, the shitty weather. I can't take much more and the cracks in the dam are getting bigger and bigger...
  12. Noooo...... I'm depressed enough as it is. I can't wait for some sunny 80 degree weather.
  13. This map is on the Allentown Morning Call newspaper site. Considering the discussion yesterday, and Gov Wolf's criteria for reopening, it may be useful to refer to it from time to time to see where we stand. It's the 4th map down on the page. https://www.mcall.com/coronavirus/mc-nws-pa-coronavirus-map-20200315-update-20200315-vwvbiaqfave2bnz36tdrypesei-htmlstory.html Just click or hover over the county you want to know about and it'll give you an exact number...
  14. I would have thought all those crazy wind days would have blown it right off the coast and into the Atlantic...
  15. Kind of ironic that the below normal regime coincided perfectly with the Coronavirus lockdown. Makes a depressing time that much more depressing. With nowhere to go, warmer weather would have been nice for getting out in the yard, taking a walk, etc, but nope. Now it got cold.
  16. And Schuylkill County has a 200 per 100,000 rate right now. It's going to be quite awhile before it's go time for us. Wow...
  17. 40 degrees and windy at noontime on April 22nd straight up blows chunks. 'nuff said...
  18. And summer is September and October. It seems as if the seasons have been shoved 2 months behind. At least it's 30 this morning here and not 25 like it was last week.
  19. I'm enjoying the pics so far. This time of year, snow looks so much better in SOMEONE ELSE'S backyard than my own...
  20. 37 and rain. I can't imagine a worse mid-April evening than this one...
