  1. Colin was from Catasauqua, which is an Allentown suburb. When Wright Weather folded and Eastern started, he was briefly a moderator until more capable people, and meteorologists migrated over. He was a weenie through and through and eventually got banned if I remember correctly. There was a guy PSU Hazleton, whom I believe is the true Wmsptwx, who changed his name when he went to school there.
  2. It's rare that I post down in that forum, but when I do, it's almost always ignored. I guess that's better than getting a "pissy post", but still... Like you said, we welcome everyone with good intentions in our forum.
  3. That light snow currently in Central PA just can't seem to get to Tamaqua. Even though it's movement is ENE, it's fizzleing out as it gets to I-81. Must be some serious dry air in the eastern Skook.
  4. Haha. Same here. It looks like someone sprayed my Jeep with a can of that Christmas snow.
  5. Some light snow even here now. Everything getting dusted. Cars, roads, sidewalks...
  6. Never really got started here. Just those few flurries awhile ago. It's not breaking my heart any, either. Hopefully it stays away.
  7. Very light snow/flurries have commenced here.
  8. Well now, I never thought of it that way...lol
  9. There goes my re-scheduled birthday dinner.
  10. Does that mean it's going up instead of falling from the clouds?
  11. You better hope a certain someone in OT doesn't see this. She'll rip you a new one...lol
  12. Steam and temperatures below freezing make for an impressive show, and the Reading and Northern Railroad did not disappoint with running the 2102 on a cold winter iron horse ramble this past Saturday, Feb 8th.
  13. What sun? There has been no sun here today at all.
  14. Dammit no. We already postponed my birthday dinner from yesterday. Remade the reservations for this coming Saturday, and now this...
  15. We got just enough zr towards the end to put a crust on top that I can walk on. I'm going to have to get under it with an ice chopper to break it up.
  16. Honestly, not only is it sleeting incredibly hard, but some of the pellets are so big they sound like hail stones and not sleet. You can see the size in the hits on the hood of my Jeep in this still grab from a video I took.
  17. I don't know, but it's coming down pretty damn hard here at the moment.
  18. Started right out as sleet even though radar shows snow. Getting heavier as I type. 27.5 degrees.
  19. Looking at the radar presentation, when this finally gets to Tamaqua, be it sleet or snow, it's going to rip.
  20. I'm not so sure. Like Itstrainingtime said below, radar looks uninspiring. I thought that earlier and was going to make a post about it myself.
  21. Maybe. I thought it was on something, but perhaps it's on to something...
  22. I don't feel like screenshotting it, but is the HRRR on crack? I just looked at the 9z run and it has me at 6 inches of snow on the Kuchera scale for today.
