  1. Rgem was all over those 2-3" reports out east , and less for the rest of the state by 7am ..
  2. Don't think it's wise to call Friday toast yet.. A light to moderate event still on table with ticks NW.. Still on some guidance as a moderate hit .. Today was toast for all now many will get 5-10" for CNE and NNE .. GGEM and RGEM ftw again ? Who knows? Am I confident it will snow, obviously not as most guidance says no, but it can easily be the biggest storm of the year for many on the south coast... I'll get your jokes out of the way now for you Debs.. Yes I will "Sey-less snow Friday probably " but its not 100% dead yet
  3. Ya really weird, it's going 100% as planned what did they want a blizzard? BTW snow is picking b ack up nice dendrites as we speak . 8"
  4. Did anyone bother to look at the forecasted radar last night? This was pretty well modeled... .5 - 1.5" was the consensus before the lull then another inch or so before sleet and freezing rain, those that stay snow the longest will get the most (NW is best).. Why would there be school today with steady snow sleet and freezing rain likely from 11am-3pm for many in CT with temps in the 20s?
  5. Who knows but on another note.. Rgem has been very consistent with this threat and nailed this mornings snow output very impressive 00z highlighted your area 1-3” and the min from nyc to about Hartford with more central Jersey south
  6. Gfs is pretty snowy for you actually 3-4".. Just warms up later morning and changes to freezing rain and sleet before ending..
  7. It’s all semantics. All of the bigger accumulation was away from 95 and the big population.
  8. It was much more impressive yesterday over CT as well, north country was always more impressive.
  9. I think he means compared to yesterday it’s a let down, the better dynamics moved north where it verified pretty epic. This was a pretty average squall that we get a few times per year. Writing was on the wall starting late last night that it was moving north.
  10. Looks like winter for a bit, ground has a coating temp dropped to 33 from 38.. Squall wrapping up, give it a C+/B- .. Awaiting the real wind.
  11. Actual squall has arrived over my hood. Moderate snow lower vis 25-35 gusts
  12. good for them.. That's pretty epic.. squall just arrived here finally light snow gusty winds
  13. Unfortunately this band is just flurries, in the thick of it now .. no more than a few flakes
  14. Report from Meteorologist from NE PA of "Power outages galore" behind the snow squall.. Widespread 45-50 mph with saturated grounds ..
  15. Yes that's the strongest squall another batch about to enter Fairfield county is slowly ramping up .. First flakes now ..
  16. I'd say average squalls developing just in time for a good chunk of CT from 84 south and east .. nothing as intense as what could of been but we will take, I'll keep you posted as the leading edgeg is about 10 min away
  17. Yikes from that looks like nada for most of CT… One squall line south the others well north. Shoreline may actually get that jersey band ironically enough .. meso discussion out for New England
  18. Oh nice, my son goes there sometimes with coach Tam for pitching. I’m about 1.5 miles West of there towards Oxford line. As you keep on going past zone nation you end up at the top of Great Hill you go right to to Botsford then I live around Mountain Rd .
