  1. It’s run to run consistency .. yes it thumps but it’s totally different every 6 hours.. GFS Euro leading up to and now the HRRR has been very consistent today .. just using that as guidance for this impressive thump coming , should be pretty fun after 9pm
  2. Ya our thump will expand from West Virginia to Pittsburgh between now and 4pm.. want to watch that area
  3. wtf… another run as the storm starts with a ragged broken down precip shield.. either tip is running the NAM and messing with us or it’s just completely broken this year, never seen this before until this year, usually it’s the opposite. NAM is like a box of chocolate you never know what your are going to get
  4. Thats just for CT, very good agreement on all guidance on a heavy thump and then slot to snizzle in ct after 2-3am ..
  5. It's been a while since we've had that, as long as it's not rain I dont care. With all that high pressure in Canada you'd have to think these trend colder and south.. Time will tell
  6. Check out the 15z HRRR for your hood.. you'd get 6-9" in 3 hours with that look
  7. An even colder storm next weekend, a few to several inches of snow and ice depending on latitude
  8. Wow look at the high pressure for next weekend , 1040 to 1050 High over all of Canada as moisture is heading at us.. 1500 mile wide swath of snow across the country
  9. Not much going on there, a quick mix and done.. Few inches of snow and sleet and light icing, There is a weak area of low pressure in Canada in between high pressure that merges with the low in the Ohio Valley and pushes our high to the East..
  10. Ya you see the High fighting and some cold air damming early, at least an ice storm coming?
  11. GFS and HRRR blend for $100 please.. HRRR is absolutely wild easily 2" rates for like 2-3 hours..
  12. We take all 12z guidance today, just toss NAM's please .. About as good as you can get for a widespread warning for the entire forum sans extreme NNE
  13. Ya I think Runnaway and Spanks are good this is more for my backyard and SW.. I’m right on Farirfield county line in central New Haven County. Everywhere NE of me looks great
  14. Some guidance has a nice band continuing north of the dryslot.. like gfs and NAM 12km
  15. The way I see it is that just north of dry slot gets an extra 2-3 hours of heavy rates. So dry slot is quick 3-5” then snizzle. Just north pounds til 2-3am
  16. Real snow weenies don’t sleep for what will be our best rates of the season
  17. Ya should be a fun 2-4 hours .. we will get the heaviest rates but the least duration
