  1. Was there a different reason for BOS failing this year?
  2. April 9 1996 was a great storm, but there were no Blizzard conditions on LI
  3. West of William Floyd too. https://northshorewx.com/ClimateData/PNSOKX20010307.htm
  4. Norlun in early December 1988 was over a foot in parts of central Suffolk, as was April 1982, but I can't think of any others.
  5. We made it to about 9:30
  6. Central Park showing 0.06" liquid overnight. Haven't seen a snowfall measurement yet
  7. Makes sense. We had a west to NW wind during the snowfall. We were so close to the edge where I am that I doubt we'd have seen any accumulations with that radar presentation had the winds been more northerly. You were safely in the area of snowfall.
  8. My middle of the night eyeballing didn't stand up to the scrutiny of the ruler. Actually only 0.6" here. Still an overachiever vs what was expected and it is a very pretty morning. 31⁰
  9. We were right on the edge. If I saw the radar, I would have guessed we had nothing more than flurries.
  10. Wow, we're really padding those seasonal totals now. Looks like about an inch through these bleary eyes. Didn't really expect that up here.
  11. I predict Central Park gets 0.6" I am not predicting whether they will measure it.
  12. Season isn't done yet for NYC. Central Park will get 0.6" more before it's over. Stop sulking.
  13. Light rain with a few ice pellets just began here.
  14. Yup. Kinda getting used to it. At least the clear days/moments have tended to be brilliant.
  15. Light sleet in North Smithtown. 40⁰
  16. Been that way all winter, but poor verification. Was the same for yesterday's event, but didn't verify. Similar totals NS LI to coastal CT. Mostly, they haven't verified because the CT side forecasts have fizzled to zero.
  17. Apples and oranges. Meteorologist and blind squirrels
  18. North Smithtown, NY totals: 4.7" snowfall 0.65" LE (does not include precipitation that fell today after 12 pm) Most of the snow fell between 31° and 32°. Album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/7zrSXCnveog7DnFU8
  19. 4.7" N. Smithtown. 7am 32⁰ with light snow/sleet mix 6.0" season total.
  20. 3.4" as of 12:30am. More since then. Still 32 here.
