  1. Yep, small differences, but slightly better at 500 as it ticked east at 84. surface looks a tad better than 18z as well. Still have some work to do though. I'd venture Central/Westers will approve of this run
  2. boy that little bit of retro action really screws our pooch.. this would suck.
  3. many of my maps are stuck at 36. you on pivotal or tt
  4. sure was. And what that means...dunno, but I'll take any +'s I can and at 3 days out...?
  5. Precip shield notably larger/more expansive vs 18z. Looks like it took a big drink in the gulf
  6. running behind you a bit, but that is a pleasant surprise for sure. Anxious to see what this may do up here.
  7. Truth told, the dude knows his shit, but gets a bit too wrapped up in himself, and it really takes away from his talent.
  8. Gonna be what its gonna be....but boy can I gin up a storm like nobodys business. Or maybe its just the gin.........
  9. It only matters when his 4th guess comes out...then he says "he nailed it"
  10. at 36 slp is about 5-7....maybe 8 miles south of 18z Am I trying too hard...??
  11. I was being playful w/ my wording...reread....dont blush
  12. I can remember a few of them as a kid. They came right up into the mouth of the Chesapeake before gettin the heck outta there and scooting offshore. Boy did I leave that open to interpretation.....
  13. Guessing Canderson wont come this way for a road trip...
  14. Well lets say they both add, but one notably more than the other. Ground truth we know better than too put much weight into extrapolating the NAM, but as we are trying to connect the weather dots...we all search for clues. Guess that's one way of putting it.
  15. Smart man.... May be a rough ride and not worth the pain in the end.
  16. Yep, and as I'm looking over GFS at 700, it does do just that. Gets close to M/D line, but then scoots NE, but stays south of us. If one toggles through the track of the SLP it looks to bounce around like a yo yo. We'll find out soon enough, but seems wonky to me.
  17. GFS really wasnt too bad. Here is warmest panel when its go time up here. 700's and 850's. If were gonna pick on to hug....this is it after this panel, wraparound is lifting out and column crashes... Its a nailbiter...still (a little amish slang coming out for my Lanco crew)
  18. Nam has always had merit w/ some of us and rightfully so. ICON is purely shown for continuity....and fun. I dont know anyone in here that uses it for anymore than that. Fodder for weather chatter...
  19. Thx....but dont look at Icon...definitely a new trend...and not a good one (out to 69 anyway). 18z arent gonna make many here happy....me thinks. I hope I'm wrong. edit....I'm not wrong. 0-2 so far... almost tried to retrograde at one point. I've been preparing for a westward adjustment, but that was rather notable.
  20. yeah it SLP still dancing around a bit, but once it got to coast, it also headed straight at us. Cant deny that that trend on some guidance... I wanna toss.....but know better. Someone say we can toss it
