  1. trudged into the woods and based on the stakes there, I have received around 10 inches maybe a little bit more. Moderate accumulating snow right now. Not sure where this forcing is coming from because it looks like the other forcing that we’re waiting for is in New York State, but maybe this will just continue to redevelop or develop and not stop before the 850 stuff gets here. . 79113512932__456A4922-AF42-49BB-9546-ED85E20B3CFC.MOV

  3. My God just the opposite here. I thought about running the snowblower last night but there’s gonna be so much wind overnight so I just am finishing it now. Light fluff.
  4. In fact, you favored it over this storm. Let’s hope you were right!
  5. I believe you’ve been honking about this for at least a week so I’m glad you started the thread
  6. Yes, and the radar is showing the expansion of the field of precip. It is a good bit north of me, but we’ve started light snow here and I can see to my north the significant drop in visibility. Probably the wind’s blowing snow over this way and the radar of course miss estimates that. But I think it should be a snowy afternoon. Maybe 2 inches or if we’re lucky 4.
  7. As always, the question is, does it reach the latitude of Cape Cod or into the Gulf of Maine as opposed to including off of South Jersey?
  8. This seems like a different set up, so I wonder how it will trend. Could be a classic Miller A Richmond to Boston with lighter snow up here, but perhaps it will trend north like a lot of stuff has. That would imply more of a Miller B I suppose which is a different set up.
  9. Lbsw for us up here. Not always, but definitely a red flag
  10. Miller A? That would make me somewhat less interested
  11. On the other hand, maybe the ratio is benefit us today. There is light snow falling here with no radar returns at all, even very light ones. That could be a sign that when we get some lift, we accumulate very efficiently. I’m guessing the light snow now is from easterly flow?
  12. Dendrite nailed this. It was at least up here about the ratios, not the QPF. He had the caution flags about ratios all along and he was right. If this was 15 to 1, we could add 15% to all the totals or maybe 20%.
  13. Not sure how much felt last night, but I think there was a band that was pretty intense for a little while although that might’ve been a little south of me towards Concord. Going to be hard to measure but just walking around this morning in the dark I would guess 11 or 12 inches was more blowing and drifting than I expected. Still light snow falling pretty steadily but no radar returns
  14. Yeah, we’re in the bad den right zone now too. Small flakes and it looks like we’re in between better bands.
  15. Wanted to make a quick video before it’s dark. We’re in a lol with snow growth worse. But it’s still great. 79107073693__A99F067A-B1BD-4702-8CAF-C4AEE6241755.MOV
  16. 430 measurement of 4 1/2 inches. Snow growth has been variable, but quite good at times in the bands. Such a huge slug of moisture. I think we had rates of about an inch and a half an hour for a little while, but I think it’s mostly been an inch hour still 4° which is unreal.
  17. I noticed a couple of really nice bands moved through Concord and then lessened an intensity just around or north of me. I assume the whole thing keeps shifting a bit north and some of those bands get up to you.
  18. I went back to small flakes again. Someone else on here said that when the heavier fans come through the flakes get bigger.
  19. If it hasn’t gotten to you yet, it’s about too All of a sudden, larger flakes started mixing in, and within three minutes complexion of the snow changed. The earlier flakes were not sand, but very small, and now some larger and medium sized flakes mixed in and visibility dropped even more.
