  1. Someone should go check on Wolfie..
  2. You know it's warm one when installs go down on an ice planet....
  3. Definitely some record high mins going down tonight.
  4. The New England grid is basically maxed out right now. Lots if installs went down.
  5. Haha. It's like Miami down here on the shoreline. 88/74 at 9pm.
  6. What a torch here on the shoreline to kick off summer. Highs for today.
  7. Bring it.. After morning cloud cover dissipates, hot and humid weather begins and is expected to lead to high heat indices, with extreme heat and humidity expected on Monday.
  8. Upton's thoughts A shortwave pushing through southeastern Canada has forced the development of an MCS that is making its way southeastward through Upstate New York. Despiteits progression toward the area this morning, there remains substantial uncertainty in its ability tomaintain itself as it approaches this morning. The MCS is moving into a less favorable environment and while CAMs disagree as to the exact track and continuance of the MCS, the chance exists for showers and thunderstorms to move into the area this morning.
  9. What a special week coming up.
  10. Will be interesting to see the overnight lows. Someone posted in the NYC thread that the Euro had something ridiculous like 92/72 in NYC at 2am Mon night.
  11. Drive up to the top of Castle Craig in Meriden. The round stone observation tower of native trap rock was built by local stone masons in 1900. It stands on East Peak with an elevation of 976 feet. The tower is 32 feet in height and 58 feet in circumference
  12. Will probably be some top demand day records next week for ISO New England, especially since the bulk of the heat is midweek. Anyone know how any of these top demand days compare to next week? The large drop in peak demand from 2013 on has been mainly due to residential solar deployment and energy efficiency gains.
  13. Got a new driveway, drain and some stonework done. I don't mess around with seed especially on bare spots that will just turn to weeds. Sod is the way to go if you can afford it. You just roll out pristine KBG with zero weeds. The sign said this sod was from Savage Farms in Deerfield, MA.
  14. Love that NBC has the records on the graphic. What a summer about to roll in.
  15. I've been working outside all morning. Just a few showers here. BDR T DXR T HVN .01 GON .01
  16. BDR with a nice late afternoon rally for their first 90 of the year.
  17. They just discovered a tick in CT with a new virus. I think it's the same tick that carries the virus that makes you sick when you eat meat. Report shows first evidence of longhorned tick infection in CT in recent years It's the first evidence of a longhorned tick with Ehrlichiosis in the entire country. https://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/local/report-evidence-invasive-longhorned-tick-infection-ct/3573815/ Also those in CT can get ticks that bit them tested for free at The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station in New Haven. https://portal.ct.gov/caes/tick-office/tick-office/information-on-submitting-ticks
  18. 71/69 at 4am. What a special morning...
  19. Great week coming up. Love to see those first triple H's.
  20. Was just looking over my solar production data and it's been pretty terrible here. Some sites up up in NNE have had like zero solar production. May 2023 was a record month.
  21. Summer rolling in right on schedule.. Looking ahead, it`s very possible, if not likely, this will be the coolest day across the region for at least the next week as a warming pattern set ups into the start of meteorological summer.
  22. Nice sunny day here in Old Lyme but with the wind this is the only one enjoying the beach...
