  1. There's a small debris signature, and now it appears to be moving to the NNW.
  2. Oh, there is no question, and it probably just took out the small town of Bassfield.
  3. Pretty wild to watch the hook accelerating forward the last 4-6 frames in the radar. This storm is a beast and the next larger populated community downrange is Laurel.
  4. I mean, given available data from the DGX and LIX radars, where the beams are hitting several thousand feet up, it's within their scientific realm and justifiable.
  5. Thankfully this tornado is moving into a vast stretch of pine forest as it heads towards the Pearl River, and there is less than 500 people within a 10 mile radius of its current position.
  6. I think Hattiesburg will be safe, and at most, will miss the city by about 8 miles at closest approach, barring the most strict right movement I've ever seen.
  7. That WF sure is having a time getting up AL, and clearly has some heavy curves in it when you look at the DP spread, especially between Selma (SEM) & Prattville (IA9).
  8. Numerous thunderstorms firing in the Acadiana region of Louisiana, with a couple severe warned cells over Lafayette that need to be watched with the perfect environment in front of them.
  9. The tornado went through a very developed residential area and then right on the northeast side of the interchange with US 165 is a lot of commercial/retail development.
  10. It’s going through the center of Monroe right now. This is really concerning.
  11. They're just never done and operationally are impossible to issue.
  12. The overall synoptic pattern is incredible, but what will make or break is going to be in the short term, such as WF position, junk convection, etc. 27/4/2011 was really tampered back for Middle TN because of consistent rain and convection to the south keeping things much more stable. .
  13. Well, this is highly concerning moving into a highly populated area of southern metro Jax.
  14. Eufaula, AL has had bad luck in March in back-to-back years.
  15. There may be the possibility this tornado was on the ground for some time before warning came out, based on radar presentation leading up to the warning.
  16. Radar confirmed tornado near the MS Gulf Coast in George County near Lucedale. This storm will move into Mobile in about a half hour.
  17. I haven't seen anything on Twitter from any of the local tv affiliates in HSV, and they're always on top of things.
  18. This cell is transiting 3 adjacent office CWAs and the mess of warnings for small slivers of counties has to be a headache to coordinate.
  19. Radar confirmed tornado over Sewanee as it moved up the terrain.
  20. We'll see what happens with the Franklin County, TN cell as it approaches and climbs the Cumberland Plateau just northeast of Winchester.
  21. I'm really surprised BMX hasn't fired a warning for extreme northern Marion County because it is literally on the county line with Franklin that is HSV's responsibility. EDIT: Just as I hit submit, they put out a SVR warn for it at least.
  22. New TOR warning for cell that I mentioned earlier, and it looks mean as hell. It's going to ride the Franklin/Marion County line and headed right towards the 2011 EF-5 ravaged town of Hackleburg.
  23. Tornado confirmed again NE of Littleville, AL.
