  1. Well that was a dud. I did get some pretty good wind, brought a good sized branch down in the front yard. I barely got any rain though, .01.
  2. Clouds are back and the wind is up, temp is down 5° and dp is down 11°. Storms are on the way.
  3. The AQI is mid 50s to 60s here today. It got grey a little while ago when the clouds broke up. Hopefully the wind moves it out soon. Popped 90° here on the hill, still 86-88 and climbing around most of town.
  4. Overcast and 75°. Big heat?
  5. IMO, We just finished up our ~20 year snowy transition period a few years ago. Unless this AMOC shutdown happens we're pretty much done with winter outside of isolated periods.
  6. A quick .85 and a 20+ degree temp drop.
  7. .6 came down hard and fast, light rain now.
  8. Very cool. I've been following this for a few years now. I guess we should all make sure we get to the beach this year to enjoy the warm water.
  9. I've been watering the hanging plants for 3 days, did the ground today and it soaked it right up.
  10. Hey @Juliancolton are you getting this t-storm? It slid by west of me.
  11. It doesn't get much nicer than this for midsummer
  12. So I'm picturing a Cat 4 or 5 energized by 95° water beating up the GOM, transiting FL while it's looking for some Gulf Stream Good Juice and then running up the coast, following that pretty red ribbon, hammering 50 million people in the US before restrengthening off the Canadian coast and causing outright mayhem as it sits and spins groovin' on the bathtub water. No?
  13. I'm up in Provincetown Mass. Last night was pretty wild with bands of heavy to torrential windblown driving rainshowers. We got caught walking a few times and in the worst round it was total driving by Braille. Fun stuff Today it's gorgeous but super humid and mid 80s. I love the beach...
  14. So far this first round has mostly split and gone around me. Less than .2 but there's a thin line that looks like it's gonna at least clip me.
  15. Try the Alaska coast. All the rain you could ever want, some of the most beautiful perfect weather ever and 100-500 inches of snow a year depending on the elevation of your house (or where you ski).
  16. There's an email link somewhere in the mesonet page, if you ask someone from the team will answer your questions. I've contacted them a few times and they've always replied.
  17. Range from 3.18 to 4.95 within a mile. I drove around looking at all of the different stations (that I could see from the street) within a mile or 2 today and all of them that were under that 3.2 were either under leafy trees or otherwise situated very poorly. Why are so many people so bad at something that should be fairly simple? The reason I've never gotten a station of my own is because I don't have a spot where I can do it properly.
  18. How about in less than 7 days
  19. I just had an intense core move over that dropped over 2" in 25 minutes. It's still pouring and adding up but damn, that was insane.
  20. It's dark like the last few minutes before sunrise with unending rumbling and the wind is building and starting to roar. Good shit.
