  1. 30/24.. may top 4" after all with this band development... just over 3.5 total since yesterday morning... radar looks like it wants to snow a little longer, keep it coming...
  2. 3 on the nose here, had 1.25 yesterday, so almost 2 overnight, almost at 60 for the season with grim outlook going forward, not exactly climo but not a ratter winter either. perhaps we can manage a blue bomb in morch...
  3. 1.25" new since 5am... we'll see if anything else transpires tonight and tomorrow
  4. just got back home from Waterbury where I estimate about 2", about.75 at home and round 2 looks like it will be north of my area so stuck in between... those echoes in the OHRV look interesting indeed, will have to watch. despite radar, it's-SN here still.
  5. coming down righteous in my old stomping grounds of Waterbury I'd say visibility under a half a mile Nice flake size
  6. i honestly don't see anything more than 3-5" anywhere unless we tick north a little more, or some mid-level magic forcing, but that seems to be a couple hundred miles south...shame I was hoping for a decent thumping...btw, 0430 waking every day, never set an alarm in my life, just always awoke at that time for some reason, doesn't mean I always got up and did stuff but wake up regardless.
  7. I will gladly take Georges prognostication...welcome btw...but based on what I see in the upper levels, right now seems safe to safe 6-8 region wide, or course lollies under meso bands, not a CCB like the 2/2 system had, imho, at least not as potent...yet, 700/850 fronto seems like nice placement though now.
  8. still think there's time to tick SE, not buying 850 0c almost to the Canadian border, but, we went from decent storm to ice storm in a couple days, in the usual NW biases, let's hope it works out white and not ice, because that would make for an awful travel trip, for me anyway..and anyone south of mid NNE
  9. riding the line here...850/700 looks like it just gets past then collapses back SE, hoping for ticks east, not ready for ice and rain yet
  10. the only weather I dislike is ZR...a little glaze is fine sparkling up things but when you start to get.25+ accretion, things go south, especially if it's frigid at the surface...
  11. another from Feb 2013, that is my Subaru outback under that drift... I still have some that were saved to a different drive
  12. the morning after 2013 storm, that is my sheetrock square and Dakota behind after I opened the garage door
  13. that's awesome, I have video where I caught the thunder snow, and had a ton of pictures but my external hard drive crashed, no I have to try and revive like 800megs of video and pictures of all the past 15 years... wish I had more pics of 78 though, that was amazing, and how big the drifts were, I was a wee lad, so they were over my head
  14. NAM hitting Sunday pretty good, well see if that pans out... Tuesday looks like a good one but little concerned moving past that as cutter signals have been popping up for a couple runs now
  15. I've been trying to remember which storm it was, had to be I think in 01, based on where I lived and worked, but snow began around 9-10 in Fairfield where we were redoing a bank, and by noon, we were told to come back to the shop, but the Merritt and Rt 8 were completely gridlocked, took us 6 hours to get home, there was thunderanow as well and got about 20" in Waterbury...iirc, that winter was a good one too, just have a foggy memory for the few years around the turn of the millennium
  16. my dad and I were two of them, on the hill after 691 all the trucks got stuck, awful
  17. this one is definitely one of my favorites, and my avatar... nothing tops 78 imho, top 5 are probably 78, Feb 82, Jan 96, March 93, Feb 13... although there are a bunch in there that could be in that list, but in terms of memory, those are my favorite ones...
  18. @The 4 Seasons did you get my total from before? 3.25, or 3.3" to ALY as they don't go out 2 decimal places.
  19. 3.25....about an eighth inch more than the other day, nickel and diming our way to epic month... perhaps? the way it was coming down when I left, figured there'd be at least 4 when I got back... almost not worth using the blower for these, but it saves time, so yeah
  20. was ripping when I left the house about an hour ago with close to 2 otg new... now in Enfield, snowgrowth has improved here the last few minutes, maybe 1.5 here
  21. 20.5/16.3...nice growth now, vis down under 1/2 SM...eyeballing close to an inch with this burst.
  22. thanks, as I thought... would be nice to gather best 10 day and 4 week stretches.. will take some digging.. 17/15... almost.5" now
  23. what are the top 5 snowiest months, we'll pick ORH as a location. Will?
  24. vis has come down a good bit, under a mile...despite radar
  25. NAM has the hot hand lately...so we hope
