  1. it's gorgeous out honestly, was a mess earlier but everything falling with full sun and soaring temps.
  2. never got above 30 here and it has been liquid for hours now, albeit light but still.
  3. I'm down, gonna look nice in the morning with everything glazed.
  4. maybe the models weren't that far off with the ZR, at least .20" of accretion here, and looks like plenty to go, stuck at 29°...man my deck is a skating rink
  5. absolutely pounded paws for about a half hour, not 50/50 SNIP mix, but made an inch, so we stat pad...
  6. well if this keeps up I'll make an inch or two, some paws coming down now.
  7. 27/24 and heavier echoes coming in almost a mixed bag back and forth to snow at times here less than a half inch so far meh
  8. I homeschool as well but have one that's a freshman at a tech school so when he gets off I give the other one the day off too, but radar looks like a mess, and he hasn't had a full week since before the break, although he did get suspended for some nonsense, however they used to complete all their school work in a couple hours as opposed to all day bouncing around to classes and breaks/recess etc...my opinion there should have been school today, even here I'm close to 32 already and half inch maybe otg
  9. down to 7.5° here pretty impressive, actually looking forward to some warmer weather, I have vehicle work to do and the garage is like a freezer, plus the coop took a hit this year, need to get on that.
  10. like Will said, mid month to about the 25th looks like there's plenty of fresh cold, and something could pop, I do think the torch will be a little more muted than 70s, maybe a day that hits 60+ but I'll take a few days in the 50s, I'm starting to get over it if it's not going to be cold and active, have so much spring shit to do, but I still have feet of snow in some spots, so a couple torch days with high DPs would be nice to get that down. one more biggie would cap off a good winter imo.
  11. wasn't 1980 also the summer with the massive heat wave, followed by a really cold winter? if my child hood memory serves me right.
  12. and 2/2 was supposed to be another big one but it wound up too warm I think and we missed the goods, I had 37-40" OTG, imagine if that one hit big, roofs would be demolished even more than they were already.
  13. what's funny is it literally was uphill both ways for me, not steep but a crest in the middle, and it was 9/10ths of a mile, they've since started bussing to my old house, but that storm happened during our April vacation too, so no snow days or fun until after, then back to school.
  14. not even sure those are from the lakes, but nonetheless...
  15. snow decent here right now, one benefit of living here we occasionally get a couple inches from random LES squalls
  16. nice, looks like SCT cashing in on this one, over performer there. Honestly I wasn't expecting more than an inch or so, I'll take the 2 and run.
  17. 2" on the nose, light pixie still falling but nice little refresher on top of the other days snow, i take stat pads...
  18. looks like just a hair over 2", and they now have called off school, so yet another day off for my son, but this is about done, once flakes stop I'll measure, at least I don't have to avg this time.
  19. agree, just over 71 here but a lot left on the table of what could have been... imagine if those two that went ots had hit, it'd be historic here.
  20. i used to drive from naugh to maspeth Queens every day for 8 months, sometimes it took that long without weather, but that should be a 30 minute drive about, some days it took us hours, we ran into that tornado that hit Brewster one time, but fastest trip was 1.5 hours, avg speed 85... Sunday night.
  21. three hours delay for Torrington anyway, but I think Winsted was 2, which means I have to drive him in
  22. this is some pile up quick stuff, about 1.5 maybe a bit more eyeballing, measure when it stops
  23. @The 4 Seasons, not sure if I told you, but couple friends in Warren and Goshen both measured, 13" and 14.7" respectively, I see a 6" total that looks like it's about Northfield area, and I can say personally I saw way more than that unless they forgot to update, but it's out of place, and mine is 15.2" not sure who recorded the 15.6, but like I said, I'll take the extra stat pad. Couple of coaches I know in New Milford were both over 19" but map already shows it. just an update for the archives.
  24. let's go to mid March with a bang, then need to get some melting so garden work can begin! still a ways a way but like the trend so far.
  25. minus a few 17/18 that was a WoR 20+ event, I remember I had a job interview I had to reschedule because of this, all good tho both ways worked out.
