  1. I'd prefer today's weather over ZR, unless it's drizzle on top of snow that fell, I can't stand ice on roads or walks, just a nuisance... snow, sleet or nothing, just my opinion, I know some like it
  2. that's a lot of QPF from the Delmarva ots, damn... I'll take a half inch of QPF as snow tho and not complain vs a whiff
  3. 34 and drops falling now, maybe squeeze out a few mangled flakes here, but I'd bet Norfolk center accumulates, in these marginal type deals I've driven up the hill and they have full coverage and I had nothing, that's crazy, it's literally a few miles as the crow flies but a few hundred extra feet elevation
  4. looks like a RT 2 NMA SNH/VT type jack to me, but I'll take anything at this point, I'm about 2' to climo and if this or this weekend doesn't deliver, it's looking like mud season, looks decent for the weekend though, we'll see, rug pulls are becoming common place around here
  5. WU is liking this weekend and next week, does anyone know what they use for their precip totals, NBM or something else? just curious. has like over a foot here through the 26th, of course need to get through the weekend first, but still, it's actually been pretty good with accuracy this winter.
  6. peaked at 47 here, wonder if I see that again before March, I'm about at the point of let all these hammer us this weekend or get on with spring after the feel today. like summer after that stretch.
  7. first day over 45 here since early November I believe, came close in January but just under, that's a hell of a run under 45 degrees, a huge avalanche of snow came off the church down the street and creamed a couple cars pretty bad, it was like a 20x30x16" plate of snow, crazy.
  8. I take it next weekend took a turn for the worst since I last looked this morning? seems like a ho hum type of vibe in the forum...
  9. what was the range on those? also, didn't 15 or 17 have some insane clown maps that were showing like 60" in places, think it was only the nam tho, which tends to do that with every decent hit we get at least once
  10. I got to 35.6 today, but it actually felt ok, cloud cover all day so not surprised we didn't get higher. Someone mentioned Danbury airport was north of 84, it's actually south of it, but by less than a mile, unless the ob station is north of it, just an FYI.
  11. yeah I remember watching that game, a week after San Diego played in Miami in one of the best games I ever saw, to go from Miami to that must have been crazy.
  12. wasn't that cold spell that the "freezer bowl" was played in, in Cincinnati? I remember that winter being really cold, but don't remember a lot of snow until April vacation from school when we got a good 12-18"...
  13. yeah wound up about a half inch, the roads were a mess this morning but have since cleared, plows actually came by
  14. absolutely puking flakes out there in this streamer, snow does beget snow I guess...
  15. another 1.3" stat pad almost up to 55" on the season, hopefully more to come, but can't get a consensus on guidance.
  16. eyeballing just over an inch out there and coming down nicely, looks like maybe another half hour or so tho, so 1-3" was about on the money, I'm shocked anything fell tbh
  17. might just clip the south end of that, unless it fills in more and rotates down, also wind picked up considerably here last hour or so
  18. I can understand the cancellation for the kids practice or games, but they cancelled my league game, grown men, and we play at the Y open court, everyone was barking at the guy who runs the league... but yeah I get it, my son's practice was also cancelled tonight because of the WWA well ahead of time.
  19. radar backfilling in NY, maybe can catch some of that later, they cancelled basketball tonight because of this, amazing...
  20. yeah dews in single digits all day, sfc temp marginal as well... I can probably count the flakes that have fallen so far
  21. if you were just looking at radar you'd think I had at least an inch by now but just a few flakes, meh my way to a dusting...
  22. 33.4° first time above freezing in 18 days, right as some precip is coming, gonna struggle here unless we get some decent rates for a spell, not expecting more than a half inch here honestly shocked if that falls.
  23. it feels great at 21 in the sun without wind right now! i expect I break the streak of below freezing here...ALY posted the top 10 for POU under freezing, 18 days was 3rd and happened twice, probably closer to my obs that Pittsfield or BDL, the record was 23 straight days, happened 2 times also, and second was 19 days.
  24. that was my last day above freezing as well, wonder how unusual it is for this much further south, got to be close to a record if not at least top 5... highest temp here in the last 30 days was 43.2 on 1/11... crazy impressive sustained cold. too bad it's been dry for most of it.
