    What a nightmare driving this afternoon, roads closed due to flooding, some not closed but traffic stopped because it was deep. Electric lost, glad this Monday's over with, I usually stay in Mondays but couldn't today.

    That red is just the type of tree it is, it's not a super hard wood so they break easily in high winds, terrible firewood. It's a box elder tree, they're all red like that inside.

    It has been quite a while since we tracked a big storm for most of the area, we're way overdue. If we can get snow the first week in Jan and it stays and we can start building a pack, that would be sweet.

    If you drove another 3-4 miles to the high spot in Charlton it would have been unreal, they got 36 inches of wind shipped snow, my sister couldn't get out her front door because the snow had drifted so high.

    I lost power for 7 days, couldn't work so I lost money there and just hung out in front of my wood stove with my dogs. Took showers and ate at my brothers and restaurants. It sucked.

    I remember only one decent storm that year, I think I got a foot.

    Wolfie, don't take this weather stuff so seriously, it's gonna do what it's gonna do no matter what we think or say, no reason to get upset with others.

    I remember a real bad year here they were setting records, that's why I look up there sometimes. Was it 2012 we were in the 70s in March?

    Look at the GFS for Alaska, Valdez is buried.

    I don't count it unless I have a solid coating, not some snow that accumulates in a couple of places.

    It does look colder the days leading up to Christmas, maybe we get lucky.

    Could have been 75, it was one of my first years in high school.

    I remember one year when I was in high school, maybe 76 or 77 we had a decent storm on the 21st or 22nd with a cold arctic air front moving in and blowing the snow around, just great timing that year for a white Christmas,
